Make sure that the connection for the probe is in exactly the same place as I’ve had loads of them boards wrong from Smeg themselves you could have had a quick check of probe buy cutting back the shelving and checking the braids

Hi Don I thought the same with a double built in cda oven but the calculation does check out it’s probably bigger than 2.5mm it’s probably 4mm. I personally prefer 6mm twin and earth Kai

I do the warranty work for Smeg it’s the left hand oven you are having trouble with is it? This is control by the pcb 3 possible causes pcb sensing probe that sits in grill element or the tocs. If this is a paying customer I would tell them to go back to Smeg they will do a repair including parts for just over £100.00 if this was me I’d walk away Kai

Just to clear this up the homeowner or responsible person can legally disconnect and re connect a gas cooker that is on a baynoet fitting taking into account that it has been fitted in the 1st instance by a gas safe engineer as regards to working on this appliance you can do the electrical side ie element switches cooling fans Tec but not thermocouples or any thing relating to the gas side if you don’t feel happy working on it don’t do it. As Dave has said either toc that controls the fan or cooling fan itself hope this clears things up as I’ve just renewed my gas safe and asked main similar questions.kai

1 thing worth checking is where the pressure switch hose attaches to the drum as overdosing with powder will cause this problem

Re: Hob flames low when oven lit?

He will need to check the working pressure if that’s fine there could be a slight blockage in the gas pipe going to cooker let us know how you get off

Re: Hob flames low when oven lit?

The cooker has no regulator and is controlled by the gas meter so it’s a gas safe engineer you need
