Re: Hotpoint IWDE126(UK) Door lock issues.

I would look at changing the motor as you know if there are worn brushes the interlock will give problems and the fact it is 1.5mohms is below hotpoints min of 3 mohms

Maybe door lock more likely she has overloaded the machine and knackered the motor or dc rectifier also check the main module as Hoover machines always have more than 1 fault eg motor taken pcb out

Put it into test mode if it goes through a test cycle the main pub module at the bottom of machine will be faulty if it doesn’t it will be the top board to put into test press and hold cold wash button and turn the dial to 60 cotton wait until all display and leads are lit release the cold wash button press all function buttons then start the leads for the buttons should go out when you have pressed start this will start the test cycle( make sure nothing in drum thou) hope this helps kai

Like Martin has said check the dc rectifier also worth checking the module for any burnt parts you will have to take plastic cover off module thou well worth checking as Hoover dc machines are prone to more than 1 part going. Kai

If it’s a hoover there will be a 31 number somewhere on the data plate and you can search that way

Re: Hoover Washing Machine HWB814D Door pops open

Probably due to overloading as it does not do it on every wash but I would change the door lock they do fail
