Re: ISE 10 W288 Display PCB

It does sound like the display has had it although very unlikely, you wouldn’t see any other issues if that were the case.

    Yes, I’d report that.

The refrigerant gas leaking into the insulation is about all I can think of but worth looking at for sure.

    Some images would be good.

A standard stat controlled unit won’t give the symptoms you describe due to a faulty thermostat.

    Sounds like it’s short cycling.

And it’s far more likely to be a sensor issue.

That would sound like redepositing or, it’s the most likely cause.

Put it this way, the dishwasher can’t make stuff, only clean it. 😉

Not often seen on plates, more on glass but, here’s the explanation…

The AEG and Zanussi are the same thing most likely with different cosmetics.

    Re: Minerva Services

Some I don’t know about on this but, as Ian is away in the USA and Lawrence is snowed under I’ll answer what I can.

Payments, no idea. I think there was some stuff in the WTA forum but not sure.

Using different companies. No idea but if so, that’s not exactly new thing is it?

    WTA deal sour. well…

The TA folk may not want to discuss it but my understanding was that Minerva were to use WTA members as much as possible and to sign up and pay for other companies to join from the outset of the arrangement.

To the best on my knowledge that has never happened. Ever.

Which isn’t exactly a shocker given I was supposed to get access to the Termikel parts as per Tony Gardiner of Termikel after a conversation and subsequent meeting over a year ago. That hasn’t happened either.

I have heard Vestel are looking for an alternative arrangement for service but I do not know why. I’ve heard rumours of course, some very plausible but I wouldn’t like to speculate. So, what’s going off there, no solid info to say.

Probably an issue with the sensors, there’s loads on here about them somewhere.

Ice build up can be an issue though not inherently dangerous as such.

Re: Gorenje Cooker hood not working

The only fuse will be where it is plugged into the mains, either hard wired or a plug top, there’s not any other fuse in them normally.

To get the correct model though on most cooker hoods the model and serial information will be on a small sticker on the inside of the hood.

If you remove the grease panel filter/s and look up inside the hood you should be able to see that reasonably easily on most all of them.

You might need a torch to see it and do be careful as there can be unfinished sharp edges on some models.

That’s the only place that you will get the actual model of the hood you own usually, instruction or handbooks are notoriously unreliable for this as they cover many models and all too often much will not be applicable to the actual model you have in regard to spare parts, filters etc.

Ditto websites, models change all the time.

    Fools! 😀

Honestly, warranties on bargain basement stuff for commercial or rented property is a complete and utter nightmare. Every time.
