Re: AEG Santo integrated fridge not cooling

Refrigerant system problem most likely so replacement is probably the best option.

On RS21’s the only way to be sure you kill the problem is to change the back panel and sensor/s.

Yes, that’s what I meant, a local appliance retailer would probably be the best bet.

    Re: rapport

I can’t believe I’ve not said anything on this for more than six months!

We’ve been a bit busy with it though. And I don’t like to over do it as then I’ll get accused of advertising and all that malarky.

There’s a ton of new features and more enhancements than you can shake a stick at. I’m not going to bore you with them all, most are detailed on the rapport site, the major ones anyway.

Stock control has had some major, major updates. It’s on the new framework and does a whole bunch of stuff that’s useful. When I get to it I’ll write up some stuff with Sudeep for the site on it all.

I will try to remember to keep you all posted but currently we’re moving to an updated framework, don’t worry you don’t need to know what that means other than, it’ll be better.

Once that’s complete a lot of new stuff will be coming online.

The big one is, automated billing.

I’ve figured out with Sudeep how to automate billing your customers or clients and automatically sending invoices when jobs are completed. So you hit the “completed” button in effect and an invoice is automatically raised and emailed.

For a good many of you we reckon that can save a boatload of time. No more coming home at night, spending weekends or eventually being forced to sit down and spend hours sorting out and sending invoices, it just gets done. It probably won’t do every single one as we all know there’s “those ones” but it’ll kill the vast bulk of them.

As promised, I will try to keep you updated on it but honestly, I forget half the time and much of the other half I don’t want to be in your face on this.

Re: New washing machine for slightly uneven floor

    AEG/Zanussi = Electrolux Group

Same thing pretty much, wrapping difference. Not the worst for sure but no better or worse than most else in the same price band.

On a suspended floor, that uneven I suspect that whatever you go for you’re probably going to have issues. Floorboards are a bit hit and miss as it can resonate and get worse depending on the layout.

To get a similar quality to your old Neff now you’d be looking at Miele ( 😥 ) and if it has to be integrated that’s outside the budget you have. To get better and smoother than that you probably won’t want to know if that’s possible now with integrated at all.

The best thing you can do is probably to ditch the integrated idea, chop the plinth and put a freestander in as you’ll get more/better for the same money and you lose a clutch of problems as well.

In any event though, if you put one in and it bounces then the flooring is almost 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure the issue and nobody will want to know as, it’s not a problem with the machine and probably not covered by warranty as it’s an installation issue.

If it were me, I’d find a good local independent and ask for advice explaining the situation and they will usually do their best to get you the best solution.

AO et all, probably won’t give a monkey’s….

Santo is a model range type name, tells nothing as there’s hundreds of models, probably thousands of variants over the years.

Model number and product code required to even look see what the layout is. 😉

Most cooling fan stats are open till it hits temp, then closes and brings the fan on.

What stat did you get, for what and from who?

Pretty much, yes. That old type hasn’t been available for a few years now so it needs that new kit putting in.

The LED unit will be faulty I expect, it’s this one:

I don’t know what the score is but I don’t think they’re covered by the warranty being a bulb.
