SUCCESS!!
I spoke to Jason earlier who’s gotten one job already! We don’t see them so unless you tell us we don’t know about it, but that’s magic!
Well chuffed, it works.

KeymasterRe: British Gas…time to tell all
The only way that we will combat and win against BG et all is to take them on, head on, on their terms.
I have been working towards that goal for over a year now and, without boring you all to death with just how I intend to achieve that, we have to basically become a coherent and effective force in that marketplace. There are ways to do this and compete but we have to resolve to do it and LEAD the industry as the independents always have done.
Dunno about you, but I for one am just so pissed off with these fucking twats like BG, Comet, Merloni and all the rest that I’ve had enough and I will not give up in my little crusade. But bear in mind here that I’m talking about changing the industry entirely out of all recognition from where it is today and getting a cohesive and effective force of independents that can combat these people, as well as keep them in check.
So, you all still up for a fight?

KeymasterHi madtam,
The brushes on this machine are not shown as a seperate item and, as usual, no doubt Comet will tell you that you have to replace the full motor at some silly price. However, we may be able to track down the carbons for you if you can give us a bit more information like the make of the motor etc. or any otehr information you can get.
A picture of the carbons may also help if it’s possible for you to do that.

KeymasterMM,
Try Graffters on 01483-741681 and see if they can help, you’ll probably need at least a make/model though.

KeymasterRe: UK Whitegoods Meeting No.4 – Feb 2005
Just a little update for you.
Proctor & Gamble will be attending the meeting to introduce their brands and give a presentation on laundry detergents and the technologies employed in making and using the products. There’s probably going to be some other bits and bobs in there as well but we’ll save that for later but it will be a very interesting hour. 😉

I spoke with one of the guys as Proctor & Gamble on this yesterday Andrew and they, like me, suspect that it’s something in the water as the marks look as if they where created on spin as the water was expelled from the clothing. Which pretty much holds with Kirk’s post as well.
From the photo there’s no clear cut, “this is what it is”, but that’s the answer essentially. If you want to know for sure then look at the side of the pack of Ariel and there is a number there for support and they should be able to analyse one of the garments for you and pinpoint the exact cause.
However I’d suggest trying a good powder instead of the liguid capsules as the liquid detergents do not contain a bleaching agent. 😉

KeymasterRe: Gas cooker installation
Del is totally correct Trev and even more so with LPG, which is the gas which you would need to use, as the jets in the hob will need changing from natural to LPG and it all tested for soundness.
I would recommend that you contact Calor who will advise properly and I would doubt in the extreme that they would allow you to DIY install a permanent tank as, IIRC, there is legislation governing it.
Hope that helps.

KeymasterHi Dan,
We can pick it up from that information no problem at all. Get back to you in the morning hopefully with more information. Or, even better, if you drop an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk Dave will answer it for sure in the morning.K.

KeymasterOwn brand stuff, yuck. 😉
Any groundworks can disturb the water pipes and all the gunk sitting at the bottom (sediment) gets chucked up and into the supply. This can affect wash results for days after the work is complete from what I’ve seen, in some cases longer.
I will find the answer.

Now there’s a good one!
What detergent is it that you’re using and do you know if there’s been any groundworks recently in the area?
TBH that’s a nice puzzler and I’ve already sent an email looking for an answer from the boffins that will be able to answer it for you. But I’ll ferret around some of the tech info I have as well.
I should very much doubt that the appliance is at fault, I would be very, very surprised if that was the case.
