Nothing really, but they now know that we are watching and monitoring the situation, if things don’t add up or as was the case today, it was so blatent it was untrue, they’re out. If it were more dubious than it was I would have asked questions first.

However, the IP ranges used by this particular company are logged and we are watching.

You can’t complain at that, by any standard that’s good.

ted wrote:Why did it take so long for SOS(phew) to pay??????????

See the previous post by “bazil” for an explanation, maybe they’re too hard up and are just hanging onto the money or it could just be inefficiency, whatever the reason it’s not very good.

Isn’t it amazing how quickly that one was sussed out? πŸ˜‰

And yes, I’ve heard the same tales told about “visits”, hence when I got one I wasn’t near a PC at all and elected for the house instead of the office as there was *WAY* too much sensitive information on view.

I think the expression “quite sad” sums it up rather well.

And on that happy note, another thought….

Danny Strollo has had access since mid-August so why is JT asking everyone to use their access?

Isn’t it strange how this company keep on cropping up time and again and always behaving in a way that is totally unbecoming of a reputable company?

The sheer volume of traffic generated on the subject never mind the content speaks volumes on its own, the content tells you all the details.

My advice, avoid at all costs

Yes, they’ve been on about this for some time.

Yes, work is and has been “re-alocated” without permission or informing some of the parties involved. This appears to have been a tactic employed on a few occasions thus far however, if you read the contract, they can do this whilst stopping you from taking on any work from another network. Another reason I’m glad I’m out of it, well glad actually as it has given me back a lot of freedoms along with other benefits.

The points I would make about the hub and spoke arrangement are:

Who has the liability to pay sub-contracters if it goes wrong? I suspect it will be the hub and the same will apply to resolving those calls that get rejected etc.

How fast will you be paid? Given the track record of some companies payments, especially some insurers, this could be a huge problem.

How much will you be paid to accept the risks of such an operation, employ the additional staff and office stuff that you will need?

Not as simple an idea as it first seems is it?

What it does do though for a WP trying this is it removes their liabilities to a lot of agents and gives them great power over the “hubs” to dictate what they want done. πŸ˜•

Unsurprisingly, the last time that this was mooted it was rejected due to the above and the idea died a death. If it were me in the current climate I would neither want to be, nor to work for, a hub in circumstances such as these as I think it’s too risky.

As for the WPs trying to hide things like stopping agents without cause or explanation and attempting to ban them from talking to one another, I only have this to say to them, Pandora’s Box has been opened, closing it is now no longer an option.

I think that coffin’s had a few nails belted in recently! πŸ˜‰

BTW Chris has access to the trade forums on this site (not twr), he signed up as user name “DASA”, now if that isn’t taking the piss…..

    Methinks that’s in hand πŸ˜‰

Chris’s sign in was changed at the behest of the DASA council to “CH” as a username instead of “DASA” to stop any confusion over who was speaking. ATEOTD, Chris is not DASA and anything posted under that username could be misconstrued as being a DASA position which, IMHO, without council approval it should not be. Needless to say I didn’t have a problem with this.

Dave, if Chris asks his username is now “CH” and all the other details remain unchanged, password etc.

Oh how dearly I would love to take the gloves off with NESN, but Mark won’t let me! πŸ˜‰

Let me surmise, they (he) are a shower of manipulative, devious shitbags that think they can control the trade and control their agents to have them do as they will. They do this by means of a contract, which they break repeatedly and yet expect you to uphold your side of it. Meanwhile the parasites are fleecing you out of about 25{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the labour fee to “manage” the calls! Manage what? Can anyone honestly tell me that they are managing the calls on their behalf?

All they are doing is taking a slice like that for passing the call through to you, centralising the invoicing and producing some reports for clients. As far as I can see that’s all they do for the money.

Now with the advent of Network DASA the balance of power may well shift, in fact I think it will, even if it takes some time to do so. Shame that anyone that is in NESN will be unable to join with ND isn’t it or you’re in breach of contract and our friends there will sue? Just another method of control, nothing more, so they gain an employed workforce without the responsibility of an employer.

I take it you refer to me there?

I go the wrong end of the stick a bit methinks 😳

I got the “JT will kick anyone off that does MFI”

Then got “Mark is no longer with NESN”

    Get the picture?

However, having your hand forced is tantamount to the same thing IMO and the threat should have never been made in the first place.

I knew they were doing the installs etc for the Whirlpool American sid-by-sides but I was unaware of any actual “service” work that they did, what was it they were up to? Can we capitalise on it in any way either individually or using ND?

If it is truly a case of “tits-up” that work will have to go somewhere and the NESN vulture is circling.

Yeah, that was my understanding of it as well but like all these muppets they seem to think that whitegoods are more profitable than brown are. This is only because brown is in more of a shit state than we are, but not by much!

Maybe one day they’ll wisen up. πŸ˜•

Is there more than one instance of this Mark? If so I’m sure between myself, Kev and Dave we could really have a field day with JT in the forums, without being specific on companies involved of course. πŸ˜‰

I like to brighten his day every now and again and this is simply another example of “if your face fits”.
