    Re: BEKO CA70155FFS1 Freezing Problem

Entirely possible that the compressor is overheating, yes.

That said, at this time of the year the are running a lot longer so they will get warmer than normal. In turn, that causes more of them to pop.

Problem is with these, it’s all too often a case of a sixth sense when you see them, you can prod and test or you’ve little choice but to swap out the sensors and hope for the best. Normally I advise starting with the sensors unless it’s patently obvious it’s not those as they’re the cheapest thing to go and, the most likely on those Beko machines.

I do think however that in your case, the compressor is a strong contender.

Re: Frigidaire frige freezer FRE196A not cooling but running

    Hi John,

It’s a simple machine so there’s only really the thermostat and the compressor to go wrong.

If the compressor runs for a bit then it just out, probably the compressor.

If the compressor either never runs when it’s set or runs all the time, probably the thermostat.

Obviously you cannot be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} remotely.

If it’s the stat, it’s this one:

    https://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/1063597 … thermostat

Usually that stat is a lot cheaper, an awful lot, but they are out of stock and the only option is a more expensive source currently.

You can also use the VXO to replace it but that’s a bit of a faff to be honest.

    Hope that helps.

    Re: BEKO CA70155FFS1 Freezing Problem

Far as I can tell the model uses these sensors:

    http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/43947201 … dge-sensor

    http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/43947202 … air-sensor

Now, it could be one of those that’s messing it about as they are pretty common to be used, the boards much less so but I must stress that it could be those, I cannot tell you for sure that it will be either that’s the problem.

The reason being that the symptoms described could just as easily be indicative of a compressor problem. If the compressor is overheating it will cut out on the safety and you’d get exactly the same symptoms being presented or near enough.

Best guess it’s either the sensors or the compressor but it’s about as much as anyone will be able to tell you most likely without actually seeing it.

Sadly like almost all Necht parts, I’ve drawn a complete blank on it. 🙁

Most of the time for Necht there seems to be no spare part support at all, not a thing.

Re: does a Meile W5740 sense the water temp?

Wash anything delicate in that temperature though and you may well destroy it.

Wool, silk and other delicate or natural fibres will not like it and even some cottons cannot be washed in water over 30?C.

Asides which as Martin rightly points out, rinsing with hot is not good at all as it’s cold water that breaks down foam and it’s not good for clothing and it’s extremely wasteful.

I’m afraid that there is no reset so it’s most likely a fault of some sort.

    It will do, yes.

However the amount of electricity you will save for your efforts is minuscule and it will impact wash performance detrimentally.

Generally speaking, it’s to do with the quality of the ingredients as well as the quantity especially so the expensive ones. The cheap brands cut back on those but still use them, hence cheaper.

    Wiring, board?

I think it’s an inverter motor so could be a board issue there.

E8 is a dodgy tacho on the motor:

Defective Tachometric Dynamo (opened or shorted) and/or Wiring.
    Ohmic value of
Tachometric coil for the Motor by Ceset: 42 Ohm
Ohmic value of Tachometric coil for the Motor by Selni: 90 Ohm
