Re: Diplomat ADP8332 ( Whirlpool Clone)

I was just about to post a query about the askol spray pump when I noticed
    this posting.

The Diplomat model number is ADP8322 (W/Pl 854500015810).

I did a general search under the model number in Connect and this motor
came up 5031680945362. Is this the correct one – it is different than the
askol and I am hoping that this is a replacement.

If not could you give me the part number I need.

Sorry to but in on your thread, goose.

    Thanks

Re: Brandt Hob Problems – Is this Induction?

    Thanks folks,

    Great posts.

Went today and it does appear to be the terminal block – all melted and the
    links badly burnt.

My next question is were do I get Brandt parts as I need a new terminal
    block?

    Thanks again

Thanks for responding bz but I forgot to mention that the customer said a red light comes on and beeps on the top when a pan is put on it. 😳

So there seems to be supply to the hob – but all things are worth checking.

    Thanks again

Re: Ind W161UK Wash M/c – New Belt Seems To Big

    Thanks for your responses.

I went to fit a new belt today and though it is exactly the same as the
belt I fitted earlier as per Partfinder, this one was much harder to pull
over the pulley than the previous one.

I wonder if the first belt I fitted had been taken off returned machines or
those that had failed testing then put back in stock – by Indesit Company
    I mean 😕

    Thanks again

That kit 1703080 looks like the one I require Jim, thanks, along with the air duct.

One last tip – if you can. Is it straight forward to fit the air duct?

    Thanks again.

Re: Hotpoint T/Drier CTD00P – Replace Wheels with Bearing Ki

    Thanks Jim,

An air duct will be ncessary.

    Just to clarify:

The drum shaft and seal kit – is that different from the bearing kit 1703273
    or will I need both?

Is the drum shaft pop riveted to the drum and this area is not affected,
do I need to change the shaft?

If the original drum is fine – why would I change it?

    Thanks again.

    Re: Glaring design faults

Back in the days when washing machines were – like men – washing
machines and I was stronger , one machine that was a nice earner
and satisfying to boot was an outer tub change of the Philco/Bendix
    machines – 7147B ilk.

Remember, rust holes would appear around the motor and suspension
mounting areas and water would pour out.

I would have a recon spare outer tub always handy, having had the
rusted areas welded – the steel could cope with it then. I would then
smother the repaired area with deb glue – ahhhh the high`s of those
days, beats a freezer bag 😛 – and I could guarantee it would never leak
    again.

The machines went on for years after.
