Re: Swift Show & Something Completely Off The Wall

    Ok
    here goes
Bryan arriving Mon PM to set up ,we can use the pull ups that we have plus Malcolm has offered use of flat screen as a monitor as we need to show off our strongest feature to those that are there i.e our membership ,
So we have the find a member map running live (Bryan as you will be there all three days can we use your laptop?)
Bryan has bugs ,mugs & pens -I know some don’t like them but at this sort of show thats what the punters want .
Ken -will pass Malcolm anything that needs printing ASAP
Malcolm wants to introduce us to the editor of the ERT I have asked what day they will be there as I want to try and be there for that Day whatever day I come I will be there and back in one day as my eldest daughter (Aspergers Syndrome )
Is worrying when I stay overnight ,doesn’t sleep and then won’t go to school the following day ….
Following Steves suggestion and at the risk of sounding like Alistair Campbell I will make a list of common points that we need to get over and the kind of answers that we need to be giving ,this is NOT to insult anyones intelligence its so that we all say the same thing

Hadn’t thought about Sat ,just to clarify something ,one thing that came back from last year was that a lot of people wanted more time to see the stands ,and were bored of presentations after a while, this would be a good way to mix things up a bit .

Why not do the meeting as usual throughout the morning then during lunch turn the presentation room into two sections then after lunch when the suits normally start to drift do the two sessions at the same time for delegates that are interested ,the trades will still be at there stands for those that are interested and it will fill that yawn gap after lunch that we never know what to do with

I can see both sides if I’m honest ,so why not do a taster session ,with a video of brazing and lockring ,and then do a much more intensive course at Bryans at a later date .For the other session let’s ask ACT to do a demonstration for electrical safety testing .
After all they are both hot topics at the mo .

We have asked the questions on the reg form re seminars ,Refrigeration is a deffo in my opinion nice one Bryan 🙂 ,I wonder if a session on electrical safety testing would be an idea as it’s one that ticks the boxes with anyone that’s looking for service provision ,I think start the day with a welcome ,max three seminars over the day plus fill in presentations etc .

    there’s this
    pop stand
I like this one but you are stuck with the one message ,but it does look very clean

    or this

    backboard display
I’ve used this one and they are easy to put together you can then use a selection of laminated posters depending on the message you are communicating

    Black Friday

Don’t get me wrong ,I’m all for something like it ,One thing the map shows is where our gaps are I’m just not sure how to recruit outside of our orbit ,maybe the swift thing could turn up new avenues .

    Re: Black Friday

I had heard of this before ,what your proposing is not like shopping on a black friday where ALL have an opportunity for a bargain ,this would be for a select few only.
Are we not at risk of alienating those that have just paid there subs for a full year ?
However we could do a sign up offer at the Feb Whitegoods Conference or even at the Swift Trade Show ?
