Re: Baumatic DW Over Fill
Baumatic have issues with E4, they`ve changed several things, none much success.
I can`t remember if that model has the two over fill hoses that run into the base.
There in the corners just at the front and you`ll notice two grey pipes feeding into the base.
The idea is that if the machine overfills the water enters the base and stops functions.
Soap powders cause this too happen in normal working conditions, so they removed these hoses and fitted extra pressure switch, that still makes the appliance leak though.
Advice on E4 faults is if there is a flow meter in the tank, replace it, if not other models you can only remove water and test for leak, once you`ve established no leak, walk away, it may not leak ever again.
But its a Baumatic, which I believe translates to its a pile of turd and you`ll probably be back within 6 months, for the rest of the life of the appliance, which won`t be too long, as its a Baumatic which means its a turd. 🙂

On the wiring diagram the Grill is wired direct from term 4 on switch, other side shows connected to circulation fan, bottom and top element.
The Circulation fan has a temp limiter wired with it, I`d double check the wires in case you missed them and someone has removed the limiter and wired direct.

Relay board faulty.
Check ribbon cable badly connected between Touch control and relay board.
If not replace board.

Anybody working on Electrolux group products should be aware of that Martin.
There is a new W/D with the numbers 14440 in it that has an issue with the dryer elements.
They go all green and Eco freindly, the appliance will only pump for 10 seconds, then NADA.
No further action.
Its a common problemo. 🙂

If I remember correctly its in the side tank on the left lookin from the front.
They do fail regularly and come in the tank.

I asked a similar question, although not as detailed, a few weeks back.
Its a very good idea, I want something similar to the paper work we use when doing Service Force calls.
The main reason I require it is that I`m one of the few doin safety checks and wanted receipts/invoices with the readings on, plus it looks more professional.
Although I fear our profession lacks the professional touch required by companies to make documents marketable. 😥
Its not for lack of people involved in the Industry, I would defo join a group such as DASA if they backed up there big talk and had such documents available to purchase.
Maybe UKW could start the ball. 😉

Comet recently secured Samsung contract and now are recruiting new engineers.
Give it 6 months and they`ll be all laid off once they realise the contract is rubbish.

Did you turn the water on, the pump out only lasts 20 seconds or so, then it stops and the fill valve activates.
Can you give more detail, does the pump stop after its filled or before ?
