Nothing escapes your watchful eye. But, I’m curious to know how you came to make that astute observation? And what exactly is your definition of the word “last” in terms of Chinese made washing machines?
Simple.
I speak to people and ask them.
Much the same way you do.
I have lots of experience but yet to reach an age that my life yearns for the good old days.

I’m paid to repair.
Both my misses and my bank prefer it that way.
I’m sure those used to the mangle prefered it to the new technology of the day.
One detail l have noticed though, even products labelled by some as cheap chinese s88t does last when used correctly.
I’ve called recently to a 3 yr old Siemans that retails close to £800 with a split spider and damaged bearings.

Proof indeed.
Just saying.
Just think though, £299.00 20 yrs ago was a lot of money compared to today.

The adiminstrators laid off all bar 10 engineers and all back office staff the beginning of this week.
I guess Enzo has pulled a few Italian strings, although l’m surprised he waited so long if it is Candy.

Complain that the old towels you asked to use as if by magic turned out to be their best and the stains wont come out and now your liable for a bath set far greater in value than the single old dog towel they gave you.
Some days l wish l had a video camera strapped to my head.

Ego’s at dawn.
May l suggest Ken invites you both to the next team meeting where 2 Rangemaster range cookers are completely disassembled. Recently an AGA tech was faced with this scenario of 2 cavities, a chasis and a box of components and wiring loom after some cleaning company carried out a full clean after a rat invasion.
He managed a full rebuild in 5 hrs.

jamieparrie wrote:you guys should go to (advertising removed by admin).they give gobs and you get paid for everything direct from the customer.labour and parts.you quote own charges and supply own spare parts so you make all the profit on spare parts.
upside is you get more charge jobs, you get mark up on parts and you get paid there n then.also,as you pay them a referal comision, you dont wait for money like all the others.
downside is none.
they only charge 20 pound per job you do and that invoiced weekly so you get paid before you pay them for the job.
why do people always do work for people and wait for money?.and then it.seems like it is you dont get paid.Gobs ?
Although the last few posts you have shown an improvement.

jamieparrie wrote:hello k.im just finding it hard to see wat 70 pound will get me apart from discounts.even if you got us some work offers, unless it was a tender style offer,we wouldnt do it as pay to cheep and they want to much for the low pay.
in electrical trade we tender for work with housing associations, builders ect and we put forward our best rates and terms then they chose one and sign a duration contract.here,it seems to be the other way around.which is messed up.i had one firm say to me that if a machine gets exchanged then we get 20 pound.even if not our fault.needles to say we said no thatnks but reading this i thought you might have had a different way like tendering so everyone makes there own terms and then competes for work.
although niceic is a lot of money its a recognised body and they help with certificates ect aswell as provide jobs at charge rates.so to me,i could make the few hundred pound in one job.but with this and only having discount club,i wouldnt get my money back as i wouldnt want the work unless it was tendered or contracted legaly.
and to the person above me that said me and national appliance care were in cardiff,i just double checked, there in wakefield yorkshire so you are wrong.I would suggest that maybe you should invest the £70.00 in some other form of learning and then when you have achieved the required level re look into joining the wta, you may find that it will become a little clearer as to what you’ll get for your money.
