    Re: Recall Notifications

The brands are no different to any other business, they have wages to pay and sales/profits to protect.

If I started slagging of ISE appliances on here, giving examples or poor reliability, quality & admin, stock sent when you no longer are a dealer etc etc I’m sure I’ll be slagged off, told I’m wrong and brought into line.

On land you seem to be good at back peddling, I wouldn’t recommend you do it in the blue, better to go forward than in reverse.

I wish I had a £ extra for every time a client demands a replacement product, had one the other week on an appliance that was a 1.5 year old. :rolls:

    Re: Bosch Dishwasher Recall

Personally if I had an appliance under this recall, I’d simply bin it and go and by a new one, not worth the hassle.

When I was with BSH we where replacing these PCB’ s daily and many required a further one within 12 months.

I know BSH, they’ll be doing just enough to satisfy the law, the rest they’ll hope people will just go and replace the product.

Whats the difference between a pattern element and genuine ?

Now before you answer, think outside of the PR box and use some logic 😉

The cost verses completion rates etc, aftercare service and fix rates, plus a lot of contractors are known to order multiple parts, fit the required and pocket the rest.

The outlets are also noticing after care is suffering, clients are complaining and pressuring brands to use there own in house techs.

There is a lot of data analysts being used at the moment. Results are not so good.

    Re: Appliance Fires

You’d be better off promoting the fact you carry out the tests on each and every repair you do.

Personally I doubt most people are even aware of the issue, seems that way when over 500,000 of BSH clients and a further 125,000 Beko’s customers have yet to respond.

Clients are reluctant to pay much for something that they cannot view as being improved, at least if its broke they can see you fixed it when they use it, most I would believe would be skeptical that you could be trying to con them, especially if they research and find there is no legal requirement for these checks and that many millions of appliances work safely daily with no incident.

Middle men won’t last, technology, experience, will result in a few people returning service in house, they came, they tried, it failed.
