    Re: HPT Grease felt bearing?

If the drum is rubbing on rear of cabinet you will need to fit Hotp1703080 which is a modi shaft kit. This has a new front felt bearing, rear sponge blue felt bearing, a new rear shaft for drum and washer. The only bits that I fit and sorts the problem out 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time is the blue rear felt bearing and the washer on the inside of the drum between shaft and back panel. I would fit above before fitting the drum.

This is usually the door lock not reading that the door is closed.

Door seals I don’t know about as I’ve not encountered the problem.

I have to say though this is hilarious for me in many ways… not so many years ago the trade slagged off Candy something severe. Now it wears a Hoover badge they’re suddenly okay.

    Weird.

When you say faulty, I agree in the respect that they are not blown but the out of balance sensor for the spin is to sensitive causing it not to spin all the time. Beko have now brought out replacement pcb’s for the 510,520 & 641’s.

As far as I know Comet are looking for more engineers for white goods not sacking people as work is increasing not slowing down.

    Re: hoover

Beko washers are having a big problem with there pcb’s and front concrete weights which are coming loose causing the drum to smash to pieces. They were also having problems with the door seal being to big and catching on front of drum causing a burning smell – now new door seal being fitted. Hoover are a far better built and more reliable machine overall.
