Re: NEFF Double Oven Problem !

    hi

yes the fans are always stuck on

the bolt is a reverse thread so when you think you are loosening it you are actually tightning it.

i usuall squirt a little wd40 on the shaft and leave it for 10 mins then holding the shaft with pliers try turning the fan and it should loosen up but be carefull not to grip the shaft too tight as you may damage the threads and the bolt wont go back on

when taking out the element be very carefull not to tug to much as you may pull the wires off the spade connectors, and then you will have to take the oven out and take the back off to refit them, its a bit fiddily but the element will come out with the still wires on, you need to tilt it upwards at the same time as twisting it to the left.

fitting the new element is really easy, just a reverse of the taking it off but remember if you have used wd40 to loosen the shaft of the fan it will smoke quite a bit when you run the element for the first time so give the fan blade a good clean first.

Re: Bosch dishwasher (SGS4332GB) – not using hot water

    hi

there are a usually few reasons why these dont heat

1 not enough water in the appliance
    2 module faulty
    3 heater open circuit

they usually happen in 1,2,3 order as well

check to make sure it is filling correctly (when washing the whole of the bottom of the tank will be covered in water,)

*****POWER OFF BEFORE ATTEMPTING THE FOLLOWING STEPS*****

check the control module, power for the heater comes from the thick red wire on the module so remove it and open the plastic case and check for dry joint where the red wire joins the module

using a test meter check the element and thermostats (NCTs)

    hope this helps

Re: Bosch WTE84107GB dryer stops during cycle

    hi

it sounds like an overheat problem causing this but this is very rare on these. (i have had motor over heat problems on these but not usually casusing the machine to go completly dead)

where is the appliance situated (in a garage/utility room or has it been built in/put under a worktop with some doors in front to give the apearence of built in).

it may sound like a stupid question but have you checked the plug and socket (dont bite my head off as i had the exact same porblem yesterday and the plug was not in all the way, cost the customer the call out charge as its not covered by the guarentee)

if there is plent of air around it and as you say the filters are clean then loggic would say module, part number 499428 about 142 quid plus vat from bosch.

Re: Changing oven light in Bosch 5605 oven

    hi

i use an oil filter remover(rubber type from halfords) as these are usually very tight,

sometimes you can do it with a pair of rubber gloves (marigolds) on as this allows a better grip but not always

also if you remove the door before trying it allows you to get closer and a better grip

    hi

yes the thermostat light should start working as long as the clock has been set to a time and the oven is not on any kind of timer function

basicly all you should need to do is replace the element and then set the clock and it will be as good as new

    hi

do you have the FD number (4 digit number along with the serial number usually starting with 7 or 8)

when you say all lights are off do you mean as if the machine is completly dead or do you mean all the lights on the operating side (the ones on the left) are off IE start light is still on

if you switch it to off and then back on again, do you get any lights then or are you just waiting till the lights come back on?

my guess is a module fault or possibly an overheat fault

    hi

if you call CDA with all the numbers (from a sticker usually on the kickplate on the bottom of the machine) they will be able to tell you how old the machine is

sorry i dont have a number for CDA

    Erm, Im getting deja vu

If I just need the inner and outer doors, and hinge bearing, what sort of cost level do you think?
Also are the doors here including the glass?, or do I need to stick that on as well?

    just answering the questions 😆

    hi

these machines usually come with a 5 year warranty, it may be worth contacting CDA to discuss a repair (labour costs) if it less than 5 years old
