As I said yesterday Very hard to diagnose with out seeing your appliance if there is a gap in your door seal the door seal is not sealing properly best to call in the professionals my friend get it checked out, get a price to repair then make a decision on what to do go to Repairs@ and put in your postcode

Its your door seal at fault your thermostat can be in any position if the evaporator is clogged with ice it wont make any difference

Re: Miele freezer not cooling properly

No model number but sounds like a frost free cabinet torn door seal will pull in outside air and will cause evaporator to clog with ice allowing inside temp to rise or poss. fault not defrosting due to defrost timer defrost stats defrost heater???

Very hard to diagnose without seeing your appliance but ice will form thicker and when you turn off your fridge it will miss the defrost channel another question the ice on the evaporator is it soft to touch or hard. Have you checked the door seal?

Re: MFI (Diplomat) 6317 drifge ice build-up and puddle

If the thermostat was not turning off then it would start to freeze the food in the fridge on a poor pumping compressor ice would form but the ice is not cold enough to cycle the stat

The fridge defrosts every time the thermostat cycles if you have to defrost yourself sounds like compressor faulty time to call a engineer to check Repairs@

How much ice is forming on the evaporator there should only be a very thin layer if it is thick is it freezing any of the food? Poss. stat problem is the door closing correctly check seal or if above is ok then could be a poor pumping compressor

Re: HOTPOINT Aquarius WMA37 Putting holes in things!

If the clothes get caught between the drum and the door seal the affect you would see would be a tear and a grey rubber mark on them (Door Seal) if they are small holes then I would be looking at damaged drum as already suggested . Also check for movement in the drum up and down poss. drum on spin dropping and catching element
My guess is damaged drum to cause small holes as you described
    Good Luck
