Thanks Jem,
Will check this and see if that’s the issue.

Hi Dave,

This has been checked and is fine.

Thanks guys – the plug was in correctly. I spoke with BSH who told me it was the bitumen insulation and that it would fade over time – the customer has said it has now gone so this seems to have been the problem. The smell was pretty potent for a couple of weeks but it appears to be a known issue with BSH.

iadom / electrofix, do either of you have any ideas on this one? We’ve had another machine, same model, today with the exact same fault. No leak and no water in base.

Not much to be honest but understand the principal. It’s still not drying the clothes though, they are wet at the end of the cycle.

Re: Samsung heat pump tumble

There appears to be very poor heat, only slight heat really. The clothes are still wet and slightly warm but no where near dry.

It is used in a small cupboard space, yes but the fault occurs even when tested in our workshop in an open space. The condenser box is clear and there is no error code showing.

Thank you – very useful. We couldn’t find the fault codes for it anywhere. But yes, looks like a bad result!
