    Re: FAULT CODE 39

First off, don’t use capitals, doesn’t look nice and comes across as shouting.

Secondly, more details needed, ie, make? model? serial number? fault?

check the thermostat and element first, these are the usual culprits, cheaper than a new machine too.

Remember, unplug it if you’re checking out!

What we could do though is work up a kind of definitive article on it and just point at that to save re-treading old ground over and over.

I vote GB to kick it off, all those in favour… 😉

It’s a decent idea if you ask me.

Along with the ‘E2’ faults, the Hotpoint ‘test’ really gets my back up….

Re: HELP! TUMBLE DRYER ON FIRE! HELP! TUMBLE DRYER ON FIR

Just watched the video, that’s bad.

Didn’t expect it to be like that,

Did anyone ever conclude which component caused the fire, whether it’s a one off?

I also agreed with all Judy’s points on Whirlpool testing them all out!

    🙄

    Hmm….

Would have been interesting to see where this went though.

Just interested how this panned out in the end?

Does anyone still have the .wmv from the WatchDog site?

Did a website ever get created?

Did Judy ever update the way it all ended?
