Anyone setting up a shed, but paying out much more in training, and better staff wages, so that they can give excellent advice and customer service is likely to just go bust. The public won’t pay for it in higher prices, at least not enough of them to support a shed. They’d just go there first, get the “free” advice, and then buy cheaper elsewhere. It makes me sad to say such things 🙁

This may sound stupid, but, actually, people do this, they come into Comet, get advice, then go and buy online, especially with TV’s at the moment…

    Re: Customer Care

There are a few that’s different, honest! I like to think i’m one.

Anyway, before we were on below minimum wage, but commission made it up, it weren’t too bad, about £4 for every £1000 that you sold, 50p for a delivery, £1 for a 3yr guarantee and £5 for a 5yr guarantee.

Now, we get an extra 90p an hour, and ‘Performance Related Pay’, which consists of how much money you take, and how much you take in warranties and essentials, devided by the number of hours you do, it gives upto an extra fiver an hour.

    It’s awful.

If it is faulty, Bosch do supply a two year guarantee.

Re: Ariston AIB16 with -con on display?

Does the display actually show anything other than ‘-c0n’?

If not, it may be worth checking the connections to the display?

Power off if you decide to look into it.

    Re: Trade Members

would it be possible to have ‘Trade member’ under the usernames? this would eliminate this problem…

However, with it, could bring random PM’s to anyone showing online that’s in the trade!

    dpm,

I work for one of the big electrical chains, begins with a C, you know the one, we’ve got our own delivery platforms and warehouses, nothing is sub contracted, it’s all done in house. I assumed that most places were the same.
