The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.
As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as ‘Euro-English’.In the first year, ‘s’ will replace the soft ‘c’. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard ‘c’ will be dropped in favour of ‘k’. This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome ‘ph’ will be replaced with ‘f’. This will make words like fotograf 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} shorter.
In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where! more komplikated changes are possible.
Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.
Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent ‘e’ in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.
By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as
replasing ‘th’ with ‘z’ and ‘w’ with ‘v’.During ze fifz yer, ze unesesary ‘o’ kan be dropd from vords kontaining ‘ou’ and after ziz fifz yer, ve vil hav a reil sensi bl riten styl.
Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evrivun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.
Und efter ze fifz yer, ve vil al be speking German like zey vunted in ze forst plas.

Hi I presume it has worked for the last six months since the repair? In which the engineer correctly diagnosed the fault. It does look as if the fault has re- occurred, sometimes soldering joints on boards does not have a 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} success rate, it does look as if you may need a new board, better to let an engineer diagnose the true fault though as boards tend to be a bit pricey.(Β£100 ish) good luck

My card was used to buy a couple of Fuji cameras, two days later we got the warrenty papers through the post π , I contacted Fuji and found they had been delivered to Maidstone in Kent. 200 miles away.
I watched Ebay for as few weeks
and low and behold two of the same cameras came up for sale in Manchester, seller listed one after the other saying “I recieved this camera as a present” two cameras, both presents, yeah right. Can’t say they were the cameras bought on my card but I bet they had been sourced by the same method. π
I read somewhere that these scum usually buy something small and not to expensive first to see if the scam has worked and then hit your card big time, we spotted the first transaction and managed to get the card stopped, sure enough they tried again a few days laterAnybody been offered a nice new camera in Maidstone?

for me.. i have 3 boards in my car, a hardware key, a laptop, and a eprom writer.. thats all i need
Looks as if this is independants only way to go.
It puzzles me Merloni don’t realise that if they let us have the software for our laptops then they are on to a winner.
You just need to look through the various threads on UKWG of engineers writing off countless machines of the various Merloni lines, mostly down to the cost of a repair due to overcharging of spares and the lack of diagnostic equipment, and generally slagging off said products to the customer, end result punter goes out and buys another brand. I would expect the majority of us do this. This Smart card fiasco only adds to the problem. π
I would be quite happy to pay for the technical info and equipment if it means that I can keep Merloni brands customers happy (and my bank balance), after all Hotpoint customers over the last couple of generations have been quite loyal to the brand. I used to work for Hotpoint and it was understood that the engineers were front line with the customer and Hotpointβs customer loyalty and confidence came from this, shame the Italians seem to have a different perception. On a similar angle lets look at Electrolux, IMHO a good company, why TDS. says it all. Elux have been publishing TDS for a long time now, they obviously know the benefits of having their products repaired correctly by any repairer, company or indi.
A question I would ask is how many of us are quite happy to promote their products knowing fine well that we have good technical backup aka TDS, I know I amIf it wasn’t for the likes of fellow humans on UKWG helping each other out then I am sure the manufacturers would have a monopoly and further leverage in prising high costs of repairs out of the public, Β£99 call out from Merloni at present. π₯
Why can manufacturers not see the benefits of what I am saying for the sake of their customers who have bought their products in good faith?
It will be interesting to see where certain manufacturers are in the next year with the present financial climate as it is :rolls: .
Head against the wall time again π₯

I have a WD420 with a faulty board same part no C00254535
smartcard C00262287, been waiting for a month for card to arrive as Connect only stock one type π₯
Been back to fit it today only to find I need a wiring change πΏ info on this courtesy of Hotpoint spares who convenently forgot to inform me when I first got the part no’s off them. Top and bottom of it is that Connect haven’t a clue and are not willing to sort the minefield out with Merloni. In the confusion, Connect have supplied me with two other board types, and an eeprom π although boards are smartcard type π
Total cost of this repair will be a massive negative to me π₯ four visits to customer, plus a few hours on the net and phone π₯maltheviking
ParticipantRe: fitting door hinge to Ariston DOV 317/1
There are no service manuals available for any appliance made by this company. The hinges are usually straight forward to fit , door needs to be removed from oven and dismantled. You may have details for removing the door in your handbook.

Do you all remember the great launch of the Merloni smart cards , “Merloni And Connect Partnership”
I dont know how many variations there are but Connect only seem to stock ONE the rest of them are special orders so if one fails while you are trying to programme a module π₯ then it’s a least another month before you can get another π₯ You would have thought they would have got their act together by now.
I don’t think Mpart are holding many more either π₯maltheviking

You’ll only get a direct account if you can jump through the hoops, such as a minimum spend and you clear credit checks. It’s not as simple as is made out I’m afraid.
I suspected this would be the case Ken
