Re: Indesit IDL40 DW no heat

Use the search facility and just type in IDL40. There you will see several instances where the PCB has been the likely reason.

Only the ‘Candy man can’ when it comes to programming the PCB. Some kind Candy agent on here might volunteer their services though that assumes the fault is with the PCB in the first place???

Meanwhile those of us that sell via eBay are now part of their ‘Global Shipping Programme’ where our goods can be shipped worldwide for FREE (just pay local postal charges to a UK distribution centre.) 😀

You either have one or the other which is it to be? A single fixed gas hob requires electric for ignition as does a small single oven. That crude dangerous gas ring is something that would normally be in a laboratory or lecture theatre and certainly unsuitable for an elderly relative in a domestic environment.

If the portable CampingGaz unit is not suitable then the only safe alternative is to have a fully fitted single (or dual) gas hob installed. That would involve re routing the gas supply pipe and cutting and fitting the hob in the work surface.

A “miniature gas cooker” is not something available for installation in a house but rather in a caravan using a butane gas cylinder.

I think a single or double electric hotplate a safer solution. An example of which is shown HERE.

Re: Bosch dishwasher not heating up – unless I open the door

I’m thinking I would like to check the main PCB for a burned heater relay terminal. Also, when it stops filling, how much water is in the tub?

Wow that looks a scary thing and far from safe to use. Is this device in the UK?

It’s like some weird contraption you would see in Latvia or Bosnia maybe? 🙁

Then you really need to go to Specsavers I would suggest as it clearly states on there : 195307135 (I can read it from here, and I’m in Hampshire 😉

………and the hinge I gave you the link to IS the correct part. 😀

A couple of centimetres is sufficient, as long as it is clear and those gas pipes (I’m curious to know just how many you have there?) are secure.

The Siemens is an excellent choice, solid, reliable and built to last. Avoid Panasonic like the Ebola outbreak. Ignore my ‘colleagues’ sense of humour, he’s a problem we have to put up with I’m afraid. 🙁
