ParticipantRe: New ISE10 leak.
Yes, no call backs as yet. Replaced soap box, dropped flow rate down on inlet valve and raised machine up at the front.

Will you stress the importance of keeping bolted up tubs and not going down the glued up road. I run a rental business so bolted up tubs are essential.
Congratulations on the new 6kg awm range, this is a big improvement on the awct range.

ParticipantRe: Comerical washing machine.
Thanks Martin. I know Alpha services would be up for it as I am Alpha services.I am going down the ISE route but woundered what else was out there.
Yes John we are stuck in the 80’s. I can do it by reducing my overheads. I work from home and turn down all work more than 5mins from home, with so little time spent in the van I can spend more time making money rather than spending it.I spend less than £15 on fuel/week. Advertising is down to £170 this year due to a lack of need.I will never be able to buy my dream yacht but life in the 80’s is not too bad.

No it is not an official mod, its just a desperate engineer trying to keep these blocks on. I have got about sixty of these out on rental and have about three machines which have done it twice. The problem has to be solved. Come back to me in two years time and I will tell you if it was a good mod or not. I hope it is but only time will tell. If amaca come up with a mod kit then I will be happy to fit it but mean while it is up to us to keep these blocks on. Hotpoint do not use stainless steel bolts on there wm series spiders, some rust up and some not. I know it it sounds bad drilling through the tub but this seems to me the best way yet. Give me a better way and I will be up for it.

Use debore when fitting. Make sure you drill the correct size so water cannot come past the bolt. All bolts are above the water line and water would have to penetrate 4cms of debored bolt in plastic. Make sure no excess bolt comes past the nut on the inside as there is not much of a gap to the drum. No problems as yet.

I await with eager anticipation. If we could drop the price by dropping the g/tee it may look better.

Can you do a cheeper 7kg Asco with a one year g/tee?

ParticipantRe: AWCT12L..Worrying
Yes. I have done one as a trial a few months ago. This is the second time this m/c has lost its block so I am trying to make sure I do not see it again. Over tighten them and they bounce back with a snapped bolt, under tighten and the block works loose. Its a no win situtation.

Had same problems with the front blocks on the ise aw23. Best permanent solution is to drill through and bolt up with stainlees steel.

ParticipantRe: New ISE10 leak.
No transit damage, machine is 1607 and was fitted as semi commercial at the end of last year.I cannot see any thing wrong or blocked, it just leaks. I went back today to reduce the flow and tilt the machine back but it still has the problem. I’ve ordered a soap box and will let you know.

ParticipantRe: AWM712D. E11, door will not open.
For interest of those doing a search on E11. There is an unseen leaver on the lock on the bottom, right, front. Pull this down and it will get the door open if the module fails to do so.

ParticipantRe: AW23 twisted tub.
Thanks for the link John. I have read it and all my later machines have been modified by cutting the tub rim, protecting the hose by fixing extra rubber to it and moving the tub forward. On the machine in question the twist is not removed when you allow the tub to come forward.
