I have replaced the board for F8 before not knowing the relay can be purchased. What is CPC?

    Re: Foreign Objects/Zanussi Drum

I ask for a cerial pack. Cut and fold two lengths of card, then work both down either side of the object. Turn the drum, card and object to the top and work obtect down. It can take time but its never failed yet.

Try meggering the motor. If OK,put it on a spin and see what its earth resistance is like hot. Check also for sparking on spin.

Further hot developments! Connect out of stock.
Looked at the light blue stat and found a pin hole on it. Stick a pin in it and it resets!!! I presume this is the one shot device which is now a two shot device. Has any one else tried this?

    Re: WMA bearing change

Thanks Chris and Idom for your response,I will start quoting for them now. It is such a pity the WM went, the whole M/C was a good earner in every area.
Lets hope IES takes off,it will be interesting to see what it retails at.

    Re: WMA bearing change

What is this “Rubena”seal? Have HP changed the spider design? or does the seal still mate with raw steel? It’s been a few years since I opened one up, that I don’t know if things have improved.

    Re: WMA bearing change

Did it once as a trial and decided to refer customers to HP.
Main problem I have heard is that many fail again within 12 months. this is not good for my street cred. Long live WM bearing/spider changes. Cheep, quick, long lasting and plenty of them!(At the moment)

Re: Hotpoint brushes – laminated vs thin.

I had a bad batch of laminated about 9 months ago. When they failed(as most of them did),they left a brown mark down the side.
I still use laminated due to the short life of the thin ones.
Spin inhibit on newer M/C’s should have stopped pumps causing carbon problems.

    Re: Zanussi FLS1383W motor problem

I had a similar problem on a Zanussi some time ago. I too checked the motor and then moved on. In the end it turned out to be the motor even though all coils had continunity. Try slaving in a second hand motor as a test.

Well guys, all this talk about to poke or not to poke is all very well but what about this machine!
I went back today armed with a motor only to find it working OK.Spent the rest of the day pulling out socks and bra wires from various places.(Power off of course).
