I am following this thread with interest. Is there a date and venue set for the September meeting?. I would like to get this in the diary, usually take some holiday around that time.

    Re: FRIGIDAIRE R5303B Fridge.

    Thanks for the response Bob.

The fridge has a full width ice box with a door, The Thermostat and lamp housing is under the ice box with no visible capillary. I probably have little to loose by fitting a VT9 on a suck it and see basis as it will probably be a scrapper if I dont- its a cheap fridge.

    Cheers,

    Mike.

    Hi Ian,

    Thanks for your interest.

I did not have to visit in the end. THANKS to the fault code you supplied I was able to deduce the problem. After completing the repair and testing I had left the machine out of its location to allow the customer to do a bit of very necessary cleaning. On putting the machine back in situ he had trapped the filling hose. Quick phone call- SORTED!.
    Many thanks once again,

    Mike.

    Thanks for Info guys-much appreciated.

Can anyone help with the part number for the motor on this machine?. I do have one or two new FHP motors which I could prove point with, if they are compatible.

    Many Thanks,
    Mike.

    Hi Cornflakes.

Have you tried Qualtex?. I found them very useful with a similar issue recently. Very helpful if you have the EGO number off the old stat.

    Good Luck,

    Mike

    Thanks for the response.

There is nothing happening at all when you close the door.
I suspect module, but customer not in a position to spend any money on it so i guess another write off.

    Thanks Mike.

Evening All, I trust you have all had a prosperous day.

Customer has come back to me with a fault code, F07.
If this is the Evolution model, and I believe that it is, this indicates “Heater Relay Stuck”. Any ideas what we will be looking at here, ie new relay, new board, EMW, QER, BER?.
    All contributions gratefully received.
    Regards,
    Mike.

    Re: skinny jubilee clips

The Type that I would be most interested in would be such as supplied by BSH with the instantaneous dishwasher heater. Anyone got one to see if there is a makers name on them? Good quality and really skinny.

    Cheers Mike
