Thanks for that! Ill give it a try as they are only about £15. Is it an easy job to change? I dont see any screws behind the door like older machines, just 2 little plastic bumps!

Light is next to “half load” ( no “mini load” mentioned!) & also the power light next to the power button

will try these suggestions, thanks. However the freezer & fridge both seem to be cool enough! Any pointers to where the actual buzzer/chime thing is located? Is it soldered into the main circuit board?

    Re: fridgidair freezer drawers?

cheers for that! Im thinking of using some pvc cladding boards that are used for cladding on houses. Easily cut, light & non porous! looks arent important so prob just cut a slot for handle & a few small holes to cable tie to the baskets. Only to stop our food falling out every time we open the door!

yep! same as cars! However Im determined to get something to stop all the food falling out when we open it as it works fine!( even if I have to make them out of plywood! :))
But unwilling to pay £100! If it was perfect & I tried to sell it Id be very lucky to get £50!

    Re: fridgidair freezer drawers?

says “Elite” on the front & has 7 shelves or drawers. Ive found the plastic drawer fronts ( which are all the same) on several websites ( these seem to be used on several different models) but they range from about £15 to £30!
I would reckon about £4 is a fair price for these!
What I was hoping for was any suggestions for adapting some other ( more reasonably priced!) drawer fronts to fit this machine!

Re: candy CD622 not washing properly

plenty water getting in & its heating up fine & pumping out again ok. It seems to run thru its cycle same a s before just not washing as well!
Have you ever heard of these pumps losing power but still running?
Ive not removed it to check the impeller but if that is worn then Id guess it would be best to replace complete pump unit anyway?
I think its about 10 years old now so thats why we dont really want to splash ( ha ha) out £100 for a pump on off chance!
Im sure we can buy a complete new machine for not much more than double that?

how certain are you tho? Im guessing it cant really be anything else but I would have thought the motor would either run or not run?

    Re: hoover HNF 7148 PCB

thanks but I have now discovered the new pcb has a burnt component! Looks like a small transistor near the top plugs so there must be a short in another part. guess Ill just scrap it & buy a new machine now 🙁

    Re: hinari ice maker

thanks but hinari is not a currys own brand. It belongs to a large company called pulse products in manchester who maufacture a whole range of home electrical products.
I am however unable to find a phone number for them or a website.
i actually bought it in argos but of course the kids who work there would not have a clue as to any advice as to what i could try before sending it back.
Also in my experience houshold appliences are not really worth having repaired by repair shops as the cost is often far more than the unit is worth! ( I was quoted £120 for a dishwasher motor once on a machine that cost £199!)
this is why Im trying to find out any info I can so I can attempt a look see myself before scrapping it!
