This is just a part code. Not connected to the Electrolux owned AEG brand.

Sorry, no engineer diagnostic mode available. The manufacturer and some agents can do very detailed tests with their custom diagnostic kit but this is not available to the trade.

The module does do a self diagnostic on start and records a detailed list of any errors in memory. The current basic error code will show on the machine display, in this case ‘door’. Diagnostic software and a serial interface module are needed to access the detailed error list stored in memory.

Not had a heater cause this problem but always worth checking heater and pump continuity.

There are a number of versions of the WMF740 with different electronics and software so not all versions may respond to a fault in the same way.

A triac on the module provides a pulse to lock the door. It then looks for the locked return signal if none then another pulse to try again. After several attempts it throws a door error (assuming not confused by another fault like a motor circuit error)

This is an instant door lock.

The module sends short pulses of mains across 3-4 to move the lock to locked or the unlocked position.

I would check the motor continuity at the module plug as this checks the wiring and motor + motor plug in one go.

Usually a lock or motor circuit issue but I did have to swap a module on a similar model last week

Motor control board is a common problem for a juddering motor. I usually check the 3 phases are even on the motor before swappig the board.

This is a binary error code, least significant digit at the bottom of the vertical progress indicators.
Assuming these are the 3rd and 4th lights up from the bottom then the error reads binary 1100 = decimal 12
Error code F12 = Communication error between main PCB and Display

Check continuity of the pcb traces from the pump contacts on J004 to the triac and relay on the board. Check continuity from Q11 gate to the driver transistor just under the heatsink. If these are ok then it gets complicated as it’s all small surface mounted components. At this point I usually program a new/used board and fit it.

Looks Vestel but can’t prove that it is the Alva3 seal. The only way to be sure is by checking the moulding code on the old seal.

It’s just the ones on the model list that have been fitted with the ‘Super Small’ Metalflex ZV449 PTC interlock. Asking a customer to check Factory/CC and serial number ranges would be way too complicated.

1501 will be the software revision code. Usually comes up in diagnostic mode when the error has been cleared from memory.

If the green tab is missing then power off, lid off and push down on the top of the lock while pulling the handle.

Kickplate off, pull the green manual release tab while opening the door.

I think this is built by Midea, E21 will be a drain error.

You need to strip the machine to be sure which part(s) are required. I have spider/shaft and bearing kit in stock if you decide to repair (not silly prices)
