There are 2 shaft sizes listed. If required I would need to know the diameter of the shaft currently fitted.

Sometimes the filter handle comes off if the the filter is jammed in the housing.

Remove the pump from the machine then strip it down to see what has jammed the filter and see if anything is broken.

    Hi,
If you can supply the model/product code(s) and serial number someone here will be able to help.
There is a rating label on the back and usually one inside the door.

It all deepends which version of power module was fitted and which setting file it’s running.

Best starting point when looking for a used module is with the 215…. code and FW1: code from the old module. Also the full model, CC, and serial data from the appliance rating label.

Timing is rarely accurate as it assumes perfect conditions. Timing will be affected by water pressure, initial water temperature and load balance. Software updates on some models seem to improve the predictions but they can never be totally accurate.

I usually check the error log, heater, pressure chamber, sump, filter, flap valve, drain/fill rates and update the software if I have a the latest version to hand.

If it drains okay & pressure system is not blocked then it’s commonly the result of intermittent earth fault on the wash element. It should show E16 but the diagnostic software often gets it wrong and comes up with E3 towards the end of program.

Hope the repair went okay Dave.

So many different buck chips now it’s hard to keep up.

I can’t read the chip number on the photo, what is it and what does the board fit?

As you point out. All brands and revisions of lock will be damaged by a poor connections. (Thank goodness for simple stock faults)

Whirlpool seem to be reacting to an increase in failures, or severity of failure, in a limited number of models.

From the outside this problem seems related to the listed models, where fitted with the late type ITW/Metalflex ZV449 interlock.

As far as I am aware there is only a recall on the listed models if they were fitted with the very small ‘ZV449’ ITW/Metlflex interlock (Not to be confused with the more common ZV446 type)
