Re: Bosch SGS45C12GB/16 Dishwasher Not Heating Problem

Does this machine have a micro switch adjacent to the heater terminals? If so then this microswitch will only close when the wash pump creates sufficient water pressure, and thus switch on the heater. However if you say you have no voltage at all at the heater then in my experience it is always the relay on the control board that switches on the heater. Normally a dry joint is visible on the control board and can be repaired with a soldering iron provided you clean everything thoroughly at the joint. However this is not possible on some of the newer machines and only a new PCB will solve the problem. I hate to say this but there is a good chance you have been sent a duff PCB as I have had this happen to me. You might be able to get a second hand one on eBay just for testing purposes.
    Good luck!

There are three possible solutions in this thread. If you try one and it works, post it here!

And they would of course insist the customer buys their mouldy insurance…

Just to wrap up this thread.
The customer’s husband was a rather bad-tempered builder chappie. Very impatient. He just bought a new machine. Obviously has money to burn! I’m not sorry to be rid of him, but the wife was a genuinely nice person. Next time I’ll try renewing the pressure switch.

    Hi Martin

She called them twice (she says) told them “it is not taking in water” and was told basically that “the water supply was not covered by the warranty. If you pay £50 and take out the insurance policy we will come out and sort it out”. She says she got really angry with them both times but the support person would not budge. My assumption would be that that these guys are on a commission basis to sell the insurance policy? It really sucks. In fact there is nothing wrong with the water supply. The PCB is not opening the valve! But customer could not know that.

I had the capillary pipe from the pressure switch disconnected – same fault. no change. (It was not blocked)

    OK – worth a shot!!
Meanwhile can anyone send me an error code list or at least tell me what F26 indicates on a ENR WVD2452BGB/04 Bosch WD pretty please!

Re: Need test procedure for Bosch wash/drier

Changed the pressure switch. No difference. Ran the “reset” procedure and “F26” showed up.Tnen re-ran test procedure, no fault showing, fault cleared.
Tested machine.Fault had disappeared and machine all ok. Now going from pumpout to spin no problem on spin pgm, etc.
BUT customer just emailed that the fault has reappeared (as stated above) just as before. (spoiled my Sunday, along with Lewis Hamilton losing the GP……)

What is F26 on this machine? And what do I do now? Suggestions? (I am reluctant to fit a new PCB)

    Thanks

Re: Mystery F3 Whirlpool Oven Fault

My grateful thanks to Johnmac11 who sent me configuration data. This solved the mystery completely, as the board will show an “F3” fault if you fail to configure it after a set period of time. I am disgusted that Whirlpool do not at least put a warning note in with the replacement board that it has to be configured, and after numerous and thorough searches I did not find one reference that told me the board had to be configured. All references I found stated that F3 denoted an open-circuit heat sensor probe!
Thank goodness for Whitegoods and helpful folk like John!

Re: Need RTD for Whirlpool oven AKZM754/ix

Yes I know. Funny though that it is out of stock at Connect but in stock at “4Whirlpool”.
I have had a “reply” from Whirlpool support, in the form of an almost illegible exploded view of the oven and a request to “tell them which part I need from the diagram” Absolutely useless! Wast of time. Obviously not read my email. What would you suggest – that I assume the photos are wrong and just order the part? I won’t hold it against you if it is the wrong part! Also I could just cut-and-join to the correct connector if needed. One could assume all the RTDs used in W’pool ovens have the same resistance-against-temperature curves….
    Cheers

Re: Need RTD for Whirlpool oven AKZM754/ix

    Hi Bryan
Going to http://www.whirlpool.co.uk and clicking on Spare Parts takes you to http://www.4whirlpool.co.uk and entering the number you gave me (480121101179) comes up with “Whirlpool Probe” Stock No: 2566213OH plus 3 photos showing a probe with amp tag ends. That is what I am going on. We have sent a query up to W’pool technical who have said the above is indeed the wrong part and they are “contacting the manufacturers” to source the “correct one”. All this has taken a week so far. My customer is in fact being very patient! Have you actually seen the part in question? I much appreciate you help in this by the way. If it wasn’t a fifty quid part I would just buy it in to see if the photos were wrong…

    Hi Bryan
That is the one with the amp tags – see my original posting – at least per the photo on the Whirlpool site. It would not fit.

Re: Bosch Logixx 8 Won’t spin

Update – Removed brushless motor – all meggered out ok. Did PCB reset a number of times. Fill to level and pumpout all ok. This all pointed to the PCB having failed. At this point I suggested they go to Bosch and quote the Consumer Protection Act and demand free repair or replacement. I have put a number of other customers down this route with success, with Bosch, Zanussi and Hotpoint. I will get an update form them soon.

Still have a situation of no heat or fan when on drying cycles. Could anyone send me the test procedure/diagnostics for this machine? Be most grateful. I have them for earlier machines but not this one.
