The ring on the inside does have to be unscrewed to get access. It can be very tight and hard to budge, though.

The grommets are unlikely to need replacing. You’ll probably find that the water softener is gunked up. A good clean and careful refitting might be the answer.

There are also a couple of long black screws holding the matrix in place near the bottom.

If you would rather call in a pro try Repairs@

It’s like everything else – it’s only easy when you know how. They are not the worst hinges out there to try and fit but there’s always Repairs@ if you want to call in a pro.

And the small one will often pop back off the board upon fitting due to the short wire.

Glad you got it sorted – just goes to show how a simple mistake can lead to endless frustration (or a junked machine).

    Go to VB2

    Type in “Kill Kenny”

(Sorry boss, I’ve no idea how I stumbled across this, honest).

    After that, try “Benny Hill”.

When you changed the timer it’s possible you’ve bumped the door lock into it’s closed position. This would make the timer unresponsive when the door was open i.e. you wouldn’t be able to select a program.

    Power off please :plug:

Door lock is part number 697690139 and the fascia is 993736190.

Try pulling the door open from the sides at the top if you’re going for a go yourself, otherwise try Repairs@

Inner glass just slides in. It shouldn’t be able to fall out once the door is re-assembled.

The hinges can be very tight. A bit of brute force is often required to prise them open.
