Threw out all my fridge stats last week, I did not see the point of keeping them any longer, had about two push button ones as well. Sorry.

Interesting point Stratfordgirl. Spoke to DC the other day and mentioned that association his reply is not for publication, but we had a good ole laugh as we usually do. We speak to each other every other week.

I used to come across that quite a bit, guy’s out there used their ovens in many weird ways including placing tins of water in the base and using that as a steam oven.
It did not matter what type of oven any manufacturer makes over use of this type of cooking using water as a cooking agent, the steam will cause corrosion at the points mentioned.
I came across this a lot on Neff ovens and the fane element was a bugger to replace.

We could not get through to Connect, so we have gone direct to Miele, a two to three day wait though, I shall be patient, I shall be patient,

Thanks for that Don, I thought a UKW member may have dealings with Miele. I will give Connect a ring.

Wilf just make sure you have a decent pension for when you retire, the only pensions I know that rise year on year are the State, Police, Fire Service, NHS etc. I know that as I have a few friends and acquaintances that used to be in these, and they boast about the amount of income they have and pay rises.

So Wilf, did you follow it up, a ton is not to be sneezed at, be cheaper and make it spot 90 notes in hand, customer has obviously a good opinion of you.

Just come back from Brixham, spent three weeks at a campsite in the motorhome, £75/wk, better than £25/30 per week in some places. Decent showers as well, nice neighbours. Come back to the Miele mashing machine heater failed, have sent in a request for one, also the car went start due to flat battery, serves me right for not attaching the battery tender to it whilst away.

MMM, same guy’s love back stabbing. I was only going by what I was informed as an assumption. I appreciate Alex has it in for me and will take any opportunity to have a go. Shame really, I thought Alex was a nice chap, only show’s I am wrong on all counts:rolleyes:.

Paul, I would ask, but not knowing where you are, or what you are doing these day’s it was impossible to go direct to you. I just happened to walk by and saw the place shut down. Then some months later I required a cordless cleaner and asked at the independent shop if they had any clue as to what happened to you. That was all. Like to meet up sometime though, PM me if that is possible.

Nice to be able to read through things without winding myself up. DASA as far as I am concerned is not in life any more, like time I move on:).

Cheers Ken, I would like to come along to the Conference, meet up with old friends. I cannot commit my self at the moment as her indoors had a hissy fit when I mentioned it. She doesn’t want me to in her words “go back into that line of work now I have left it”. I did say I have no intention of returning back, her reply was “if you have no intention then why do you want to go”. “to meet up with old friends” I say, “its too far too travel” comes the reply. And so it goes on and on.

So yes I would like to turn up, have a chat to you all. BUT. . . I will see. Do they have room in the car park for a motorhome??? Its not an American RV, but it is 7Mtrs long.

I still have a base trolly with swivel wheels. This is suitable for the built under ovens, as the hight of the trolly is about the same as the kitchen plinth hight, also wide enough to take the extra wide ovens. For the higher ovens, whether the ordinary single oven, double oven or the extra wide ones, I have a suitable motorcycle jack that I pump up to the correct hight, and pull out the oven onto it, then lower to be able to work on comfortably. Then re-raise height to slot back in.

However, now I am retired I no longer need these, so if any one may be interested in these, then please contact Admin who will give you my details. By the way, I would advise these items to be picked up, as I will be all too happy to show use of.

I have just come across this old thread, (what a Sad person I am huh).

Okay, has any one got any up to date news on DASA, I know the last surviving member in Northants ‘FTS’ are no longer around, I have been told they were bumped out by Lux. Though my informant was not too sure.

I have looked at their FB site, huh last one I have seen posted there was two years ago at least.

I am sure Burnsie if he is still around will jump at the opportunity to promote this outdated and what appears to be a non existent Association.

    Re: A Comment Was Made…

That is because they think the money they pay is your take home wage, like what there wage is. They cannot equate the difference. Now, go to someone who is self employed, that should be different. Say’s me (huh) some still said HOW BLOODY MUCH, okay, they were usually solicitors :poo:
