Many thanks Superfix you were spot on… she had lost the Instruction manuel in the instruction manuels drawer! :rolls:
But just in case anybody else falls for it, the child lock is locked / unlocked by holding down both “select” and “change” additional option buttons for five seconds. Those five seconds could save you an hour or so pulling the thing out again and checking just about everything else!!! errr not that I did 😳

It does sound like a simular fault, though it is cutting out because the cooling fan is not kicking in then surely the safety stat would be cutting the oven off. If your customer can re set straight away without having to wait while the oven cools down then I would check the on/off switch. The one I did was a bastard because the switch metered OK and I only found it by wiggling the tags with a pair of very long nose pliers………. not reccomended!
I did, just about! manage to get it going again for Christmas Madmac, wrong part came down once or twice, or is this just another Jersey cover up? 🙂

A bit late I know but just in case somebody else ends with the same problem. It ended up being an intermittant fault with the On/Off Switch, which comes complete with the stainless steele Facia, very pricey!!
Thanks for the help

thanks for the input, I`m pretty sure that the cooling fan is ok but will double check Monday. Wouldn`t that cause the TOC to cut power though? the fault is almost as if someone has switched the oven off then back on agian. The customer has to stand by and simply re sets the time and switches the oven on again to continue cooking!!
Is the PCB intelligent enough to abort the cooking for a conponent failure? is there a service mode? fault codes?

Thanks for the quick reply guys.
I have checked door micro switch which does appear to make and break continuity when the door is open and closed, the m/c does also stop when the door is opened on test programme. The P button does seem to hit every time when on the short test programme and the m/c does heat up to 60c on long test programme, in fact it does everything it should on test programme, fill to level, drain, wash, heat and finishes like a dream. You can then put back in user mode do one wash and then it does not respond. I`ve squeezed the contacts on board to make sure contecting as well. A real head banger!!Regards Oscar
