I have one flashing F4.. it is heating, I have swapped PCB with one from bottom drawer, same fault. Is the heat sensor built in to heater plate?

Re: Indesit WD12X melting dryer NTC

    Hi Mike
The NTC fitted does have the metal case, but the plastic inner has melted for the second time also causing the thermal fuse to trip. Fan motor still blowing and there are no restrictoins. I have quoted for new module etc. Thanks for the reply..

    Re: Schott Ceran HC60

Yes that’s what the nice lady at Schott Ceran said.. This is an unbranded hob, the manufacturer obvilously wasn`t confident enough to put there name on label, it just says HC60. New tenant in flat and no manual!

Many thanks guys.. I was pretty thorough with testing heater and dispenser from previous experience. I will call back and try to prove the relay theory but It looks like a new machine as PCB is very pricey.

The Problem I had turned out to be the on/off switch, which was part of the facia and at around £100 you need to be sure it is. I found it after wiggling wires to switch when it was on….. There are obviously plenty of other possible causes. Good luck!

I reset the PCB first viist then tried it on a quick wash… filled, heated to temp, washed, drained and rinsed no problem. She tried it same night and it stuck again for about 3 hours, no flahing lights etc.

I would love to know how you got on with this as I have a customer with the exact same model and fault.. drains, fills, heats to temperature then switches off heat, then just runs on rinse forever, No fault detected by machine. No water in base. I am going to quote for the main PCB, did you cure yours??

Re: “Alternative Spares” is it worth the hassle?

    Thanks Martin

Yes it sure does make interesting reading and it seems to say it all..

This oven has had genuine and alternative elements fitted with the same results. It is not a one off for me either because I have had about 3 other customers with similar problem. There is a lot off Naff sold over here and I do fit a lot of elements but these are prolific. I will stop recomending Bosch, Naff ovens and start them slagging off, rather than telling to customers they have just been unlucky!

I use a lot of the Creda and Tricity alternatives but rarely get recalled, has to be something wrong and it is not the fan motor!
