The Bosch also has a 2 year warranty. Both will do your laundry to an acceptable standard. I think you’ll find the major difference will show when service issues arise. You have a far higher chance of a first time repair under guarantee or through an independent repairer with the Bosch.

Thanks for that. These should be the ones you need:

If you’re not doing the work yourself, the engineer will bill you for an hour – check the rate when you make the appointment to avoid surprises. You can click the link below for a UKW engineer if you wish.

If doing the work yourself, power off please.

Almost certainly the carbon brushes in the motor will have worn out. We will need the full designation to identify them – check the inside of the door for the e/nr number – should end GB/–, as there are several different versions.

The prewash flashing merely identifies that there is a fault, not what it is.

To be serious for just a moment, 2004 was chaotic to say the least, this year has seen UKW move forward in a cohesive and co-ordinated way – the professional presentation of the site to the outside world has been outstanding. The achievements have been pretty stunning as well.

My personal thanks and well done to all the “management team”, outstanding job. Not bad for something designed to help engineers talk to each other.

Here’s to 2006, may we go from strength to strength.

And I still can’t get a full sized dishwasher into our kitchen…..

    Happy new year to all,
    Chris.

    Re: Zanussu condenser dryer TC-470

The condenser housing (big box section in the bottom) is blocked somewhere, preventing water from draining down into the tank. Instead, it’s backing up into the fan chamber and being thrown into the heater.

Demolition time – power off, of course.

I am advised that the alternative part in the link may not be a suitable replacement.

Contact spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk with the genuine part number for pricing and delivery.

That’s the timer unit – look for a printed circuit board. They range from £45 – £85 depending on which one’s fitted – post up the numbers on the heatsink for an exact price.

Fan motor failure – slow under power and free when turned by hand is a classic sympton.

Genuine part number is 062081581800, or this:
    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … cts_id=423
    is a pattern alternative.

    Power off before attempting replacement.

    Re: Indesit WG9 not Spinning

There was a WG924……. Check labels for info, not control panel. There should be one in the door porthole and one on the rear of the machine. If it is a WG924, you have almost certainly blown the electronic board.

Power off if you are investigating further.
