Dammit, you’re not supposed to know about the special breeding programme yet. Until the Penguinista strikes, anyway.

Earth leakage on the heater (no matter how slight) throws the board off as well.

Yup, it’s official and the site earns if you buy. I have a sweatshirt and two large mugs and very fine they are too. Kev has a thong and you can look in the Photo Gallery to see what happened to that.

    😀 😀

Not the point Mark. It is a stylish and good looking machine. Like everything in this business, you don’t know what’ll happen a year down the line. However, it has generated feedback and discussion, you can’t ask for too much more.

There’s another one there on an appalling Hotpoint dishwasher and all of a sudden amongst the tirade of abuse, there’s a post that says “Ours has been very good, no trouble at all”. No accounting for people.

Mind you, we could be WHICH? and recommend Candy washers as a best buy…….. (It was a long time ago).

It’ll be a whole panel….. Model number essential – you’ll need to look at the underside of the hob for a code, typically ADP—-.

Post that up and Dave “The Spare” Conway will try not to frighten you too much.

Time’s gone by Thomas and no reply. Even we repairers struggle to get our hands on technical information.

If you would like to explain the specific problem which you are struggling with in a little more detail, no doubt we will be able to give you some advice and guidance – there are lots of repairers on the site who will willingly help you.

I don’t recognise that model number as a UK version by the way – is this a european model?

Assuming your diagnostic code to be correct, this is actually to do wth the drive motor. The rotor position sensor is faulty, the wiring is faulty or the module itself is faulty.

We’ve had a few of these lately, check down this forum for more info.

    Power off if going inside.

You get a quite decent discount from BSH themselves if you identify yourself as trade to the girls – and of course they have all the stock, so unusual to get a back order situation.

Use your Mum’s phone – they won’t recognise the number. Then you get to advise them of the potential bill when the detective agency finally tracks them down. Might not work, but immensely satisfying.

Dave_Conway wrote:I don’t think UKW will ever have a common viewpoint as it stands to air the personal opinion of everyone and it’s quite clear to me that everyone has a different opinion about DASA.

Not the point – anyone looking into this site will realise that the membership and Moderators (Who will be seen as junior management at best 🙄 ) of UKW are free to roam the forums and put up any old tosh they like; the Directors are not.

The point I’m trying to make is that potential sponsors and business partners of UKW are going to sit down and read this site. In depth. They may well even pay people to analyse it for them. Damn it, I would if was going to invest in a venture. What conclusions they would draw I can’t honestly say, but things like the DASA issue stick out like a sore thumb as bones of contention even between the Directors. You guys at least must adopt a common position on this and be seen to stick to it. There’s four of you and you all have a different viewpoint – it shows.

This is our long term future I am talking about and as things stand now I do worry that it’ll bounce back at us at some point.

    Thank you.

No I’m not, my bent arrow appears to have disappeared (Nurse – the screens!). Somebody who’s still got one go and move it. And Kev’s barbecue.

‘Bout time we instilled a bit of discipline about the place, get it tidied up dontcha know.

He’s a retired sole trader from Batley, have met him on occasion. Must be into his 50’s by now. Dicky ticker so not working anymore. As far as I know he wasn’t a DASA member, but I could be wrong. Worth noting that he hadn’t posted for a while before the current outbreak.

What agenda has he got, Martin?

Anyway, I’m off to shunt URGENT WARNING into Off Topic. Where it should have been in the first place. Still, we haven’t had a bit of penguin fun for a month or two 🙄 .

    Re: new dishwasher advice

You should consider the repair – the heater is £52 + VAT (p/no 263187), so even allowing for your engineers labour charge this should come in at less than half the cost of replacement.
