    Mike,
How are you powering the machine? UK/Euro voltage is 230/240v.

I think Andy wants to know if its an oil seal, a V wiper seal or a sprung carbon seal and counterface set-up.

    Well said Andy.
Bear in mind that the independant repairer is already a salesman. Every time that we complete (and get paid for!) a repair, you have effectively made a sale, so this is the next logical step. We have the advantage that we are “on the spot”, the customer may well know and trust you from previous calls and has not fallen into the clutches of some spiv in a suit at the local shed!

Personally, I think the real clincher is going to be “We designed this”. It speaks volumes for the technical abilities of our trade that now have enough influence and support to build a properly engineered machine when compared with some of the cheap tat out there today.

    Regards,
    Chris.

    Hi K (and K)
    Proceed as follows:
Hold the “temperature down” button, then push “power”. Hit “spin up” and you’re in diagnostics. Report back with which lights on the wash progress panel light up and we should be able to tell you something.

If there is a little bit of water under the sump filters at the end of the programme, it ain’t blocked.

Re: F&P SMARTdrive is smarter than me..

Could be drain pump running. Faulty pressure switch could activate the pump if stuck in flood protection mode, possible module fault.

Run diagnostics as outlined at top of the forum and post your answers.

That’s the beauty of modern production techniques – you can run it down to the wire.

The configuration secrets are all revealed on the TDS disc, which you can get for around £20 – possibly the best £20 you’ll ever spend.

New Kate Bush album as well. I confess, all these years later, I am still profoundly and deeply in lust. 😀

Prototype……… I think it’s going to be white now anyway. Kev’s been listening. Shame, I like silver (not because it reminds me of fish…..) and it goes with anything.

The Proline T1000 (Balay) was launching in my Comet days – the prototype finished up in Central Stores and wasn’t actually painted at all!

I dunno, try and give an honest opinion, the boss has been in already. Nice to see that (independently) we are of one mind. 😀
