    Re: Whirlpool HDW1011WG F07 error

F07 is a motor error code across all Whirlpool washers.

If it’s intermittent, check security of motor connections at motor and pcb. Check for chaffed wiring. If it’s a carbon brush drive motor, check the brushes for length and free movement.

It’s possible that something is breaking down at the pcb controller, but then it all gets a lot more complicated….. Dry/burnt out joints around the relays is a regular problem on motor boards.

Stay safe, power off if you intend to investigate this yourself.

Mike, the topic has veered away from Adv’s request for advice and help and entered into the realms of applied safety. Whilst the two are obviously linked, the question that Adv asked is not being answered.

The “general discussion” should be carried out in General Trade, advice and info for the OP should be done in this thread.

    Re: AEG oven cuts out

F04 is the oven temperature sensor being either out of circuit or short circuit. It will need testing with a test meter – you should get a reading around 600ohms at room temperature.

Power off if you intend to repair this yourself.

Because one of them will work on the BSHcustomerservice.com site, allowing you to source the parts that way. You’re paying twice if you sdource through Indesit.

Amazing how we can wander away from the point of a topic.

Adv wanted information – he’s got an earful instead. I had thought that one of the key fuctions of this site was to help and advise our fellow engineers on technical matters.

I don’t have a Megger, I have an Isotech device. This is capable of knocking out 1000v and will find an earth breakdown on any given component when isolated from its circuitry. Pick an input, pick an earth, press the button and it ain’t difficult. If there’s a circuit, it shows on the display.

Not difficult. That said, this was a £270 purchase. I guesstimate that it paid for itself inside a year. It will also do the general earth and loop test (as well as surprising the very determined cat when required to) in a matter of moments.

    Re: Whirlpool AWZ9993

It’s not a UK model – I’m sorry, I can’t find any tech info to help you. You can assume that it’s a sensor or sensor circuit problem if the timed dry sequence works. This simply applies heat against time, rather than against humidity, which is what the self sensing programmes do.
