Re: In-built dishwasher door removal/fitting on to a new dis

Unless you go for a like for like replacement, drilling and new bracketry is always involved. If you could state what you currently have, we should be able to give some guidance as to removal. Your new appliance will come with a fitting template and brackets as required.

Compromise perhaps? Put the ads into trade suppliers only; handle recon stuff through spares@ – put a mark-up on for profit and handling. Tony doesn’t really want the retail work – might even send out direct under plain label if you asked him.

Have to get the public posters to stop posting the links (mea culpe) though.

    Re: fault code

    Hi Bob,
This is the “Size switch error” – the setting doesn’t match what’s in the computers brain. Check that the size switches (2) are pushed through into the console housing. Thed switches can be faulty, as can be the display module.

However, it can be a setting error. Try pushing and holding Start/Power, then Power. Should reset. If it doesn’t Fast or Kiwi should be able to advise further.

Power off if you go inside.

Re: I think I need new Carbon Brushes. Blomberg 1301ABB/Seln

The door switch will only blow once…… so if the appliance does actually lock and start the programme, this ain’t the problem. Have you checked for continuity through the various motor circuits? If OK, check from the top end – following the wiring back and check for continuity from the timer end.

Is there any motor action at all? If none, the problem may well lie in the timer/controller unit. If you have wash but no spin, you will need to check the water level control system – these machines are so-and-soes for sludging up. The machine drains, but still thinks it’s full, so won’t spin.

    Re: beko wm1210s

Had a slew of these over the last 18 months – there are early and late versions. Early version has the module down the front of the machine, no spin is just about always the module. Late versions have a digiboard on the side at the top. No spin on these seems to be always the timer unit. Very often a sharp tap restores spin function briefly.

    Cheers,
    Chris.

Dispenser is p/no 4812 416 68155, around £45 – email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for exact price and to order.

Power off when fitting and be exceedingly careful of the stainless steel edge of the door – you can shave with it.

Re: Hotpoint washer/dryer keeps coming up with test on.

Post #3 in this very thread says:

“Hotpoint’s are designed to go into test mode when the start button and the on/off button are pressed at the same time. If you are stuck in Test mode, simply hold the start button down until it comes out of test mode, then hold both the start buttons and the on/off button down until you see ‘D:end’ (or similar message).”

Alternatively, you could go back to using the powder, salt and rinse aid which the machine was designed to use in the first place.
