ParticipantRe: Ariston A1435
If you count the pattern of the flashes from the on/off lamp when it faults, this will indicate a fault code – ie 1,2,3,4 pause, repeat.
Please post this info and we should be able to advise you.

Oh dear, where to start Jon?
Cut the power and slowly lean the machine backwards with towels on the floor – water will flow. Reasons? Water level control works on a hair trigger, circulation pumps leak regularly, seals around heater leak, bottom door seal leaks – shall I go on?
With regard to the washer, a rummage through the washing machine forum will reveal large numbers of Indesit “W” and Ariston “A” machines with shot bearings. The water seal isn’t up to the job – any restriction at all in the way that the machine drains will exacerbate the problem. Blocked/choked filter, failing pump, coupling it to a sink is certain to lead to disaster.
The Dyson will almost certainly need the top housing replacing (the bit with all the little cones in) – it chokes up and restricts the airflow, hence the motor overheats and cuts out.
In a way you’re lucky – you’ve only got three appliances – I tend to try and repair 12 a day – today (it was exceptional) I wrote off no less than 3 Indesit dishwashers for blown circulation pumps – all caused by flooded bases.
The best long term move is to replace them with something of rather better quality – Bosch springs to mind. Regrettably these days you do quite literally get what you pay for.

It’s all in here Mary – his own problem was the computer board, the other options are all discussed. Please read again.

ParticipantRe: Balay Good Show
Balay is a fully owned subsidiary of Bosch. Their role in the UK is the “economy” models in the Bosch range.

ParticipantRe: Where are we going?
Oh, great. I have to say that I have detected no “negativity” within TWR. This is the the place where we do the “sorting out” bit of UKW. Sure, the bad news gets posted and discussed, and by and large the policy is sorted out in here.
Where this forum appears to be struggling is with the activities of UKW Ltd. The P&G sponsorship is through the company; personally, I don’t have a problem with that and the updates of what may be developing are re-assuring, although (this being the “secret” forum) a bit more information for discussion would be useful – we are I suppose the chosen few. We could argue that if we are trusted this far, we should be party to all new developments.
As things stand now, it’s all quite exciting – things are afoot; we all have a rough idea of where we’re going to at the next meeting, so perhaps a bit of a briefing in here please Ken before it?
The Trade forums are reflecting a lot of frustration at the moment. The membership at large is not as well informed as this group, so this is hardly surprising, is it?
There’s two things we can do IMO – firstly, “UKW is dealing with (the particular gripe) it” – two months from now we’ll be able to say “UKW is dealing with it and funding the solution”. That’ll be bloody marvellous. And to come, more money making opportunities I hope.
Brace up everybody, we’ll get there, and this is where we have to be positive as a group. Please project throughout the rest of the site.
Cheers,

ParticipantRe: Disable the fan from a fan oven
If you disable the fan, the element will overheat and fail within minutes……….
Next oven you get, go for the “Multifunction” type, which would include “static heat” elements under the oven floor and in the oven roof – much more suitable for your requirements.
