Thank you for your contributions…. I confess to being still a trifle confused; hardly surprising at my age I’m sure you’ll agree.

The part with the two sound emitters I can understand; the problem I have is with this twin signal business. I like the idea of the passenger being able to listen to the Light Programme, whilst I intellectualise on the Home Service, but do I need to install some kind of rheostat to turn the passenger side off if there is no passenger, or can I install some sort of switching mechanism to listen to one of the signals out of both speakers?

They’ll be telling us we can pick up signals from space next.

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris.

    Re: AEG Lavamat buttons stuck

Thought you’d have banged in a few more for Blackburn this year…. I digress 😆

The switch bank is a “snap fit” into the back of the control panel. The usual reason that the buttons stick is that it will jump out of the clip at one end, jamming the buttons. Best procedure is to dismount the switch completely and see if it’s free. Switch cleaner and a bit of manipulation will usually do the trick if the assembly has actually jammed.

The switch is still listed as a spare if required.

    Power off first please…………

Tractor? What suspension? 😆 Its not a Massey Ferguson, BTW, it’s a “grey Fergie”. The Massey (or should that be massive?”) bit came later……..

    Cheers,

Water level control problem Henry. The system may be blocked at the bottom, the air hose may be holed or not sealing properly, or the switch itself may be defective. It CAN be the computer board, but check the rest first.

Pull the plug before doing anything………. :plug:

Re: Bosch not taking in enough water

Well done – result. It doesn’t take much, so make sure the heavy stuff gets rinsed off before going in the dishwasher. That tube is a backwater when running and stuff settles back into it. SpagBol is really bad……… 😆

    Re: beat the speed cameras

Has anyone actually got problem with obeying the speed limits? Spend all this money on gadgets and dodads, or spend the money on fines? Why not drive at the indicated limit and pay nothing to anybody?

    You know it makes sense.

I have recently had the radio in my 1967 Wolseley modified by some awfully clever chaps in Manchester, who say this now allows me to recieve a “Frequency Modulation” signal, on two channels. This is a little puzzling, as the speaker is in the centre of the dashboard. Can anyone enlighten me?

No components listed Bryan. Late Sole motors don’t have the spring clip anyway. Superglue?

Little bits of glass in the drain matrix down tube – a regular invisible problem.
