    Re: Another! BoschWFF1201GB/01 FD7609 Washer

It sounds like the timer is hanging at the end of the prewash sequence, rather than stepping through. You will hear a quick squirt of water and a burst of pump as the dial steps round to the main wash programme, but the motor shouldn’t activate.

    Controller I suspect. 🙁

    Cheers,
    Chris.

Result – well done. Bear in mind that the fluff is still floating about in the bottom, so sooner or later it’ll have to come to pieces as it will get picked up again eventually…………..

    Charlie,
Check whether you have a hot water fill all the time or only on the spin sequence. The former would indicate a weeping valve, the latter a problem with the electronics.

    Dave,
It does sound rather like a system fault – not a DIY job.

    Options are –
Check the Directories for a UKW repairer in your area.
Check into “Repairs@” on the site.
Pop up your postcode in here and someone may well pick up on it.

Are you seeing the “emoticon” box, Roly? If so, all you’ve got to do is click the one you want.

    Simon,
    It’s 1320558-10/7, an AKO VS80. Personally, I’d take Tony’s advice – you’ll get it on Wednesday!

    Cheers,
    Chris.

The Balay-built washer dryers as a family seem to be very bouncy. The drum construct and spring/damping set up is the same as the washer version, but with all the ducting on the top of the drum it effectively raises the centre of gravity, making the drum top heavy.

As far as I know there are no “uprated” components available, though consider at 5/6 yeras old the struts will have had a pounding by now.

Part number for replacement struts is 265433, list price is £14.10 each, plus vat and post.

    You can order through http://www.bshappliancecare.com

    Steve,
This is the Spanish built machine, which is a notorious bouncer. There are two dampers mounted below the drum and onto the chassis floor which wear. You have done the obvious and checked the filter/bottom hose and sink coupling (if appropriate) for blockages and crud?

Beyond that, I’m with Martin I’m afraid.

3 is the light wash and fill position – 1 instructs the processor that you want the ultra-super-extra long wash, so instruction accepted, it moves to 3 to fill. Heat is at the teeny weeny dot on the programmme dial.

    Cheers,
    Chris.

Wayne, check the water level control system for blockages and level switch operation – it may think it’s already filled as it says it’s in the wash cycle.

    Pull the plug first…….. :plug:

OK, 3 flashes is to do with the temperature control circuit. The sensor is next to the heater on the back of the drum and is the most likely culprit (or the connectors to it).

As for resetting the computer, if the dial starts to rotate; switch off, set the dial to a black dot, switch back on, wait for the quick flicker and it’s done. It doesn’t solve the actual problem. If the machine was functional before the bearing change, it is unlikely that the computer has failed – you have to spin the cross piece to get it through the rear opening and the wiring IS vulnerable. Get the meter out and start testing.

Do nothing without pulling the plug first. :plug:

Creations is a generic (like Ford Focus). Check around edge of door panel for something like “ADP____” . There are loads of different Creation machines over a seven year period – we do need to be specific.
