    🙂 ykeef,
Check the water level control system – a partial blockage can cause the machine to THINK it’s full of water even when it’s empty. The collecting bell is on the front of the tank.

    Pull the plug first. :plug:

Hey, that’s good! I like it. The kids were amused by the first one.

Did you see “Splat a Penguin”, further down? Martin is in SO much trouble……

    Cheers,
    Chris.

    Brian,
The relays do seem to lose the will to live from time to time.

    You need this : –

Rember to pull the plug before tackling it. :plug:

This a water level control problem – you have some sort of blockage in the pipework or matrix. It’s probably food sludge as the level is variable.

Check Directories for a UKW engineer in your area; if you’re going to have a go yourself – pull the plug first. :plug:

Ok, we’re getting down to specific parts now, so the model number will be required – Marhgerita 2000 is a generic. Check round the door opening or for a label on the back.

    We can advise further then.

Possible faults are motor brushes, motor itself, wiring and very often the computer board.

    Pull the plug first………

Computer is detecting a drive motor fault. Plenty of possibilities, probably engineer time.

Suggest you check Directories section for a UKW engineer in your area.

Have you checked everything Tony? Heater, thermistor- wiring back to board – the lot? My rather limited experience with these suggests that ANY component failure seems to stop the bu@@er programming. But, hey, it’s probably going to cost more to run it to the tip than it’s actually worth!

I assume the ear piece must double as a hearing aid? Bright blue is much more fashionable than institutional pink! :rotl:

Sorry – no idea – universal continental 3 tag 320c will probably be a safe bet.

Re: British Gas…time to tell all

For what it’s worth, we have been contacted by BG. They were aware that I am a sole trader and got our details through UKW. Shades of the mass Hotpoint eMail last year……. Anyway, they started off offering work, then offered employment – Julia is not daft and played them along a bit. When she pointed out that we run at a damn near 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} 1st time completion rate she was told “What does it matter?”!!

Anyway, she blew them out. Only mistake is she didn’t get the name.

We lost Transpart, our local Qualtex wholesaler, last year solely due to their BG contract. Took on engineers – then lost them to BG! Finally knackered by non-payment and delays. Great shame IMO. Leeds engineers are now rather restricted in their choice of spares suppliers.

    Regards,
    Chris.
