ParticipantThanks for that; Dave should be able to take it from there. May be the same as Ariston p/no C00025295 – but he’ll know for sure.

ParticipantSounds very much like a thermostat problem. Fiddly screwdriver job, not particularly difficult, however great care must be taken of the capillary tube when fitting.
Dave Conway will be able to help you with prices – some Comet own-brand spares a bit on the dearside.

ParticipantMost drive motors come from one of five motor manufacturers. If you could tell us which motor is fitted to your appliance we should be able to solve this quite easily.
Typical names are FHP, Ceset, Zem-Sole, Selni.
Hope that will be some help, get back to us.

ParticipantWell done; eastlmark’s post was correct, although kwatt’s comment is perfectly valid.
Kitchen fitters rarely stop to consider the consequences of how they install an appliance – it drives all of us bonkers.

ParticipantHi Simon,
You might contact EMW and get a recon. Tony will want the timer number, yours is about £35 IIRC.Contact them on http://www.emwelec.co.uk

ParticipantOld Philco many years ago, pulled off bottom hose and it paid out like a one armed bandit – about £27 in small change IIRC – and a couple of wires!

ParticipantDedicated?
More like fanatical………..
A few of the Trade members have actually done a quite staggering amount of work to make the Public forums more practical to use, so hopefully everybody will reap some benefit – not least us Mods – it can do your head in after a while trying to keep up with the the posts you’re sorting!
Let us know how the stat works out,

ParticipantOh dear.
There’s nothing wrong with rubber gloves when you run out of tablets. Washing up liquid is NOT designed to be put through a high pressure pump and WILL froth like crazy. The machine almost certainly thinks it’s still full of water as the foam will trip the water level control.Safest option is to leave it for a while, then run the rinse cycle several times. The objective is to flush out any remaining washing up liquid. Be there when you do it, the machine may well flood and need resetting to drain.
This is a patience problem, don’t do it again!

ParticipantI dunno, leave you lot on your own for 10 hours to do a days work and look what you get up to………
Looks good.
What has happened to the little bits of earnest advice which WERE in the Tips forum? Be a shame to lose them (I KNOW I wrote one of them).
Cheers
Chris.

ParticipantRe: Whirpool AWM 329 where do I clean filters?? And…
Nah, patience – the entire front drops off. Remember to release door seal and door lock and the whole thing’ll drop off with a downward wiggle.

ParticipantHmm – about enough for a vinyl printing cutting machine perhaps?

ParticipantHi TJ,
The filter in your machine is in the bottom hose from the drum to the pump. Easiest access is by removing the front panel of the machine. Retaining screws are behind the bottom kick panel. If the machine reaches a spin position and has not drained, the timer unit will stick.Hope that’s some help,

ParticipantD-oh! Good point Mark. Thinking further, the same brush stick fits both holders……..
It’s been a long hard day.
Over to Dave I think. 😉
