I am still waiting for spares ordered through Alba Radio for a Hinari studio dishwasher. This was April 2003. Periodic progressing reveals that it will be “about a fortnight”.

Customer has long since bought a Zanussi studio dishwasher, but I have the Hinari and a bad attitude………

    Ridiculous.

If these are based on Merloni products is there any interchangability berween the two? After all, the Merloni product MIGHT be using higher quality components!

Never thouht I’d find myself saying that!

    No,
It’s a complete s@d, and I’m a professional. You always need bearings, water seal and tank seal; any damage to the drum shaft and it must be replaced as well.

I would suggest putting up your postcode and seeing if there is a local UKW engineer in your area.

If you’re going to have a look, pull the plug first.

59 minutes to get an hysterical response from one of the few remaining DASA members, complete with the “Nyah, nyah” bit.

I have no feelings towards DASA, indeed I have sat on the fence watching for so long now that the old backside is getting perforated by the spikes.

Tinhips, for Christ’s sake (if you have ANY influence within your chosen organisation), tell them to talk. To anyone, or even us. The prolonged periods of silence which eminate from DASA do NOTHING to convince anyone, let alone kheath, that SOMETHING is happening within it.

This site arose for reasons not related to DASA, and is heading somewhere that does not directly need DASA to be involved. However, the general concensus in my opinion is that nobody particularly wishes DASA any harm, and indeed wishes it well as it tries to restructure and re-develop.

This sort of slanging is just plain stupid and presents neither body in a favourable light.

£76.53 as far as I can tell (I’m not allowed paerwork – Mrs P gets upset). Not SO bad if you include airfreight etc………….

    No Piccie, sorry.

    Re: DASA!

SO WHICH BIT OF “LEAVE THEM ALONE” WAS THE FUCKING PROBLEM?

Bloody Great, join the big boys in the War Room, try and put some reasoned, sensible discussion into the debate in a quieter place with a sense of direction, purpose and supposedly professional attitude and this goes off.

What’s the point, what IS the bloody point? I don’t like DASA, I have no wish to be involved with them and I’m not bothered if it survives or not, BUT, if we arrive at some sort of concensus in here we should stick with it.

For GOD’S SAKE – LEAVE THEM ALONE!

Somebody convince me that this group are professionals.

It won’t leak. The 37 year old fuel tank in my car is sealed up with the stuff and it’s been fine for over two years now.

    Have a bit of faith!

Sounds like it’s melted. Replace both thermostats with kit no. 1701896 – click on Shop@ and follow from there.

Make sure the heater is fully defluffed, also check the condition of the filter – this maybe letting fluff through.

Do nothing without pulling the plug first.

Don’t think so Dave, it’s usually the one in a plastic case (Weird). Last one I got came airfreight into LBA from Holland + DHL dely. I should hope so too at that price!

Cheers for all the responses – if there is any confusion over this, it’s the board in the white plastic box mounted flat, in the top front left hand corner of the machine.

Plug it from the outside, smooth down what comes through the pin hole and if needs be, sand it flush when set.

    Easy peasy.

Do we assume that surveillance devices don’t work in car washes?

Anyway, let’s just leave them alone. If the worst comes to the worst it’ll be natural causes.

    Jimbo,
Thermistor valus acceptable – double check by removing, and with the meter set to ohms warm it up by holding it in your hand – resistance should fall. The heater relay is on the main computer board. It CAN be the heater relay itself (soldering iron job), but I keep finding it’s the board itself that’s playing up. EMW do recon boards (exchange) at very reasonable rates, or you’ll have to buy new (£50-60). Trouble is, it’s still a poor quality appliance and you’re standing the warranty!

    Regards,
    Chris.
