You need start and run relay p/no 1701264 – click on Shop@ and go from there. This a known and regular problem with this range of appliances.

Just for info, Hotpoint put some stuff in the old Microprofile manual –

    800 spin 56{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} extraction
    1000 spin – 58{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} extraction
    1400 spin – 62{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} extraction.

However you look at it, it’s down to fractions. This might be a cause worth pursuing (for the benefit of the public of course).

I’ve been in so much trouble tonight. I’m not allowed to actually USE any of our appliances (Julia actually tells customers this – he can fix them; no idea what to do with them!). Anyway, I’ve been saying for weeks that the motor bearings on the Blomberg are on their way out and today – yes – the motor seized. Has she done anything about it? Booked an engineer (me!) ? No! So it’s all my fault and – I’ve spent the evening getting a Bosch running in the workshop to prevent further earbending.

Is this my fault, or am I just misunderstood? :con:

    It’s the panel complete – 356778 – list is £64.27 :eeek: .
Got caught with the Bosch version (WOK2001) a while back; customer was not a happy bunny!

Both codes to do with pressure system problems – the electronic p/sw is disagreeing with the conventional one and this is causing a conflict on the digiboard. Clear the blockage or find the leak!

Sorry Scotty, too many variables with this one. They range from water level control problems, heater and circulation. Best bet is to get some professional help – you can check the Directories section or pop up your postcode and someone will probably pick up on it.

The fact that the start light has no pattern is rather worrying and suggests some sort of logic problem.

Whatever you do, pull the plug first.

Funny little thread this. UKW is revenge, altruism, a considered balanced discussion forum and a place for hysterical rantings.

I like the way the Brandt thread is going – a co-ordinated attack on a target, with everybody working together. Let’s do more of this.

    I wish – it’s STILL a killer :rotl: !

Unfortunatley, Diplomats are far and away the most common dishwasher searched out and arriving on UKW – they are by no means the worst – generally, they’re pretty reliable; it’s the support side which doesn’t work so well.

The likes of Haier, Indesit and Brandt are the one which are driving everyone in the trade potty – poor technical support, poor build quality, poor spares support just makes the job harder and harder. The really difficult part is that the public WILL buy things on price, then wonder why instant service and parts are available in a somewhat sporadic fashion.

Best wishes to you and yours,

    Penguin45.

I sympathise with you guys. As a sole trader my involvement with Brandt is limited, most recently to two door gaskets – the first one wrong of course, the second fitted and the bill refused, so I’m now about £140 out of pocket on parts – a little bit excessive for what we normally expect to be a £15 bit of rubber.

Not being an account holder, I have no comebacks, so my level of satifaction with this company can best be described as low.

I trust that your chosen course of action will sort out other issues for the rest of us.

    Good luck and best regards,
    Chris.

Double checked – genuine fan and motor assembly now obsolete (Last price was £78+ 😯 ).

Maybe stick up a piccie, see if anyone’s got any ideas?

Generally supplied as fan and motor IIRC. Dave Conway may be able to advise on Monday.

Not a lot of point if you don’t find or replace the missing screws though!
