Glad you’ve found something that works. However the suggestion was to revert to separates – powder, rinse aid and salt into their own compartments and chambers.

The beauty of this is you can “tune” the salt and rinse aid dispensation with the machines controls and manualy adjust the powder content to achieve optimum results!

A tablet with fixed dosages dissolves over time and can deliver the separate wash components at inappropriate points in the wash.

Using the machine as it was designed will give you total control and the best results.

There’s nothing specifically for that, Simon. I have had partial success with garden hoses and once (great joy) a motorised pressure washer in blasting them clean.

Failing all else, stick the model numbed up and DC should be able to price up a replacement for you.

Welcome to UKW by the way.

Stats are a good bet – DC will be able to sort them out for you. Do read and digest the above thread as to likely causes!

F01 indicates a component failure on the computer board relating to the motor speed control circuit.

The fault codes almost never exactly identify the fault, but act as a pointer for the engineer.

Check in Directories, or put your postcode up here and one of the UKW members will pick up on it.

It was 1.30 am a couple of weeks back Martin! You can still do it – you need the practice for the Christmas dinner…..

Seriously, some of the story stuff in here is brill – I’ve been scadding about almost at random this evening and there’s humour, tragedy, pathos, skulldugery – everything!

    Enjoy your weekend,
    Chris.

Martin – if people have stopped sending you stories you can always cherrypick them straight off the forums. There’s plenty of daft stuff out there!

    Hi Neil,

Sounds like element failing under load – DC can probably help you with replacement.

In theory, this is a screwdriver job, but you need to be certain in your own mind of your own abilities. Really, you need to be competent with a multimeter at the very least to check earth leakage and continuity, so if you’ve any doubts at all, get some help!

You can check in the Directories section for a UKW engineer in your area, or stick your postcode up in here and someone will pick up on it.

Good innit? Astronomic even! Hopefully the Public are benefitting from our combined efforts and (maybe) we are beginning to get others to listen.

Can I make a few points to this small group? Without bragging, we’re covering the great majority of posts and queries, the bulk of which are in the Public Forums. We must get our presentation right – spelling, even grammar! These are the ones that everyone can see, and it does affect people’s “impression” of UKW!

TBH, I’ll hit Preview to check this before posting and still not notice the spelling mistake!

Sorry, but I think it’s important and we few are the most visible part of UKW!

Even so 1.5m by the end of the year – phenomenal!

Take note of DC’s comments above – the work, for your own safety MUST be carried out by a CORGI engineer.

If the thermocouple (FSD) had failed, you would not be able to maintain a flame in the oven at all.

Martin is quite right, DO NOT attempt this repair yourself, get a CORGI engineer in and you know the job will be done correctly – and safely.

You can check the DIRECTORIES section for an engineer in your area, or pop your postcode up here and someone should pick up on it.
