ParticipantTake it outside, turn it upside down and take the bottom off – all is revealed and accessible!

ParticipantI was Press Officer for the English Civil War Society (!) for more years than I can remember – if you want help with what you do and don’t say to journalists, keep me informed.
Also I’ve done more radio and TV interviews than I’d care to think about. Might be useful.

ParticipantIf I recall right, F05 is the water level switch holding in the “Full” position – it thinks it’s full of water. This may be a switch fault, or possibly a blockage in the air pressure system.
If you’re not sure of how to check this, look in the Directories section on the left for a local engineer, or put your postcode up here and someone will get back to you.
If you want to have a go yourself, PULL THE PLUG FIRST!

ParticipantVery often dry joint at heater relay. Get the soldering iron out and you MIGHT be OK.

ParticipantTake the WFO2466 – there is very little advantage in higher and higher spin speeds once you go over 1000 rpm – if anything duration of spin is more important.
Also, you get a 2 year warranty on the Bosch.

ParticipantHi Jools,
Just a few thoughts with regard to your HNF2137. To start, bear in mind that the Hoover company you bought your Logic from all those years ago is not the Hoover company of today – it is a subsidiary of Candy.Secondly, you have not mentioned your circumstances. Do you need the machine for yourself? Family? LARGE family? This is after all a large capacity machine.
Based on the Hoover/Candy machines to date, a large capacity, high spin machine based on the current tub design is unlikely to survive the (at least) 10 years of your current one.
I would suggest summoning up an extra £50 and investigating something like the Bosch Maxx range.
Simple rule of thumb; you gets what you pays for – £299 is too cheap for what’s on offer!
This is a personal opinion, others may have different views.

ParticipantAs a consequence of the first Gulf War, there was a great need for oil fire specialists to sort out the well fires in Kuwait. All the worlds specialists were summoned, led by Red Adair; but still not enough teams were in place. When only one monster fire was left, Red Adair said
“We need Green Adair for this one”.
A telex was sent to the Leprechaun and Parrot in Dublin and a reply received
“£1,000,000”
“Done”, says the sheik.Anyway, the Hercules drops in next to the burning well, the tail gate drops, and a battered Mk1 Transit rolls off the ramp, straight into the flames, stopping on the wellhead. The back doors fly open, and 10 lads leap out and beat the flames out with their donkey jackets. It’s all over in 5 minutes.
“Amazing” says the sheik, “Here’s the money. What are you going to do with the money?”
“Well”, says Green Adair, “The first thing we’ll do is fix the bloody brakes on that van!”

ParticipantBeen thinking a bit about this one – it’s bad enough when the service engineers aren’t advised or educated about new product releases – there were several instances in my Comet days when the first notification of a new product would be the parts orders coming in from the Service depots! Hilarious. Not…….

ParticipantHi Geon,
Philfish is probably right about getting an engineer. There are multiple possibilities as to the exact nature of the fault, and if you do not have the skills to use a multimeter safely you are on a hiding to nothing.Have a look in the Directories section on the left for a local UKW engineer, or pop your postcode in this thread and someone will probably be able to help after the weekend.

ParticipantHi Bankend,
Make and model of appliance would be of some extra assistance as CESET make motors for a wide variety of different machines. There is also a certain amount of interchangability between motors – Zanussi use motors from FHP, SOLE and CESET with complete swappability!Regards,

ParticipantShamus,
You’re half way there. Switch off, set dial to black dot, switch on and any programming should cancel. Switch off, set programme, switch on and wait for fault. When the dial starts to revolve, count the flashes of the power lamp – they will cycle in a group of flashes. If you can post the number, we can link them to the list of faults and give you some guidance.Regards,
