Some will rumble on for ages – the point at which you must do something is when you find gret or brown spots appearing on the laundry.

If you have any intention of actually repairing the appliance, the longer you leave it the greater the chance of damage to the drum shaft, which will double the price of the repair.

Re: ISE10 Washer – Door does not lock

The door does not need to be slammed shut. Bring the door to the almost closed position, then, using the flat of the hand, a quick firm push will shut the door first time, every time.

A look at the parts diagram shows only a complete electronic control board assembly. No sub-parts are listed. P/no 8996619258-87/5 – a snip at around £120 last time I wanted one.

F12 – communications error – the pcbs are not talking to each other properly. May just be poor/oxidised connectors beyween the boards, entirely possible that the bottom board has failed.

Power off if investigating this for yourself.

Being a Spanish machine, this does not appear on any technical information available over here. Assuming that the machine shares its electronics with UK machines, four flashes suggests a problem with the door lock and its associated circuits.

    Re: MW058U stop starting

First one is the motor stall error – check the condition of all wiring into and around the motor, the star point and the rotor position sensor as a starting point.

Second one relates to the pressure switch – if you removed and replaced the air hose to it without completely draining the machine, it may well be giving false readings due to water in the pressure chamber at the bottom.

    ARTICLE.

The particular machine which you have mentioned will be full of Indesit electronics, which have a world of problems all of their own in addition to the points discussed in the article.

Any idea how I find out if it is definitely one of the valves?

Test meter across the coil terminls and perform resistance test – you’re looking for readings in kOhms.

    Power off first.
