    We have a volunteer:

Just read your post re the vacant positions on the council. I had no idea it was short and this was the first I had heard of it. As I have said before if there is any way I can help I will and if this means taking a place on the WTA Council then I’m up for that. Therefore I am willing to put my name forward.

You’re forgetting one thing, Ken. It’s free, it’s all free. As a consequence we are where we were some 5 years ago – skint and with no staff and the people who are directly hands on are struggling with time and workload.

The one bit of the site which did generate revenue has turned into the Whitegoods Trade Association. It needs two new Comittee members for the next two years, BTW; if anyone can be bothered to get off their backsides or see past the end of their noses, contact me.

God help us if anything we offered was chargeable – then we’d get some real complaining.

There are times when I really wonder what the point is……

They just don’t “get it”……. The only sensible post I’ve seen recently is from Canufixit in Are Your Ears Burning.

Back to work tomorrow – a whole two days off. Obllocks.

Buy cheap – buy twice. You’ll save nothing in the long term.

That’s probably the most balanced, sensible reply on this subject that I’ve seen which hasn’t come from Admin or the Mods.

Thank you for understanding what it’s all about.

Drive motor related – computer is not receiving a signal from the tacho-generator. Possibly just the carbon brushes worn out.

Power off if you intend to repair this yourself.

If you pop onto http://www.bshappliancecare.com , click on NEFF and spare parts, you can enter your model details and have a look at the exploded diagrams of your machine. Looks like all the components are available individually, so shouldn’t dent the wallet too badly.

Re: Fiaher & Paykel Fault codes 130 and 136

Both are motor related – 130 is the Rotor Position Error, 136 is motor stall. Quite likely to be wiring issues down at the motor. It gets wet, the connectors suffer from corrosion and oxidisation just as the pcb does.

Weight will contribute, as the motor has to work harder to get the load moving. Poor connections = poor current flow.

Rather unpleasant little streak in that one. I took a look at his posts – all he does is argue – offers nothing.
