Motor or pump out of circuit will stop it starting. There is a (*I think*) a motor circuit fuse on the bottom pcb.

Tube heater is affordable and worth stocking, circ motor writes them off most of the time. Borderline on the overall quality as far as customers are concerned.

Heater relay is integral with the main pcb in the bottom of the machine. It is possible that there is a wiring/continuity issue from the board to the heater, but 19 out of 20, it’s the pcb that’s the culprit.

I would start by checking the carbon brushes in the drive motor.

Is the pump running at the same time as it’s filling, or does it fill then pump?

Re: Should I refund the money.

I know exactly what you mean – it’s all about information. There’s only so far you can go with a “logical” approach and even a logical mind. The prevelance of computers which fault on switching on rather than halfway through a programme is something we all struggle with. The “Known Error Codes” thread in the Trade Tech forum is an absolute goldmine as a quick reference, and failing that, someone always knows the answer to a specific fault that doesn’t fit the codes.

I run a busy business and even so, I still get caught out sometimes. You have to put your hands up and say “I don’t know – I’ll try and find out”. Customers do understand, if you’re honest and up front with them. The hardest thing to learn, I found, is to say “I don’t want the job” to customers. Chinese dishwashers….. grrr. Annoying, ‘cos there’s lots of money in dishwashers, especially built-in ones. Bosch machines full of fat – I’d do them all week! Love them and easy money.

Anyway, getting late, I’m going to knock it on the head as EFS won’t tell where his fishpond is.

    Cheers,

    Chris.

Two year old thread, TH. Whatever transpired is now history.

Can I ask you why this particular forum attracts you? This the one where it all goes wrong and people need some serious advice. There are 106 threads in this forum. The rest of the site contains 49,000 threads and counting. Lots of info, advice, fun, banter to be had if you have a sniff around.

I did note your comments re. your Zanussi table-top dishwasher, BTW, and have forwarded you two lots of tech info which should tell you everything you need to know about the little blighters. Tablets are still my favourites, though.

The “Penguinista” formally announce an official interest in the aforementioned pond as a legitimate target of opportunity. Any chance of a location?
