Re: BEKO 767 S – Noisy on final spin and more

    Helo’s obviously had a difficult day….

    Noise – drum bearing failure.
Black marks – grease washing back from the bearings through the failed seal.
Burning smell – drum sufficiently out of line that it’s running against the door seal.

You have waited too long before addressing the problem, the machine is almost certainly beyond any sort of economic repair.

White Knight? Hideously cheap and nasty bit of kit, as are the the bulk of sub £250 machines. You get what you pay for – trouble is there is a large part of the population who don’t wanrt to pay, so lots of under-priced, under-engineered and short life appliances out there.

Hit it hard enough and often enough and you push the pcb back on it’s mountings and the buttons don’t work properly.

Have you done the tests outlined above or are you throwing parts at it and hoping?

    Re: candy go 1482

If it tripped on spin, the usual scenario goes like this:

Partial filter/drain blockage – machine empties slowly, water level control tells the pcb that the machine is empty, so spin commences. It can’t clear the water fast enough, the effect is the same as driving your car with the brakes on. Drive motor gets hot very quickly, so the internal TOC will trip out, or the motor will spike to earth. Either or both can blow the pcb.

    Checks required:

    Filter.
    Pump motor for resistance.
Earth leakage on motor – Meggar required.

If they check out, there is only the pcb left. They are available pre-programmed, but be very sure that this is what you want – they aren’t cheap and a damage motor will blow it again in short order.

    Power off before checking anything.

It’s the same argument as dryer balls – you don’t hang your clothes on the washing line and throw stones at them, do you?

Re: Zanussi ZDT5052 – not responding to button pushing

It may be hung up in the programme amd the power break has thrown the pcb. Press and hold the relevant programme button and it may cancel. Beyond that, it rather sounds like the pcb has thrown a wobbly.

If there is no water entering the machine at all, check fill valve. A test meter reading should show in the order of 3.5kOhms. Also the obvious – tap open, fill hose not trapped or kinked over, filter into valve not choked.

If there is water entering the machine, the flow meter in the water matrix is a prime suspect. You may hit lucky and find that the connections have oxidised. A good clean and a pinch of the connectors may do the trick – otherwise, you’re looking at replacing the matrix as an assembly. L/h side panel off to see what’s going on.

Power off for anything other than observation.

Re: Baumatic BDW13 temperature sensor location

There are no recorded values fot the ntc sensor on any Baumatic tech info which I can find. If you’ve got a reading in kOhms on your meter I’d assume it’s OK, especially as it’s falling with heat.

Repeat all tests from the top end of the wiring loom, ie from the pcb – if results are similar, the only culprit is the pcb.

Part number for the pcb is XMIDD1379 – Baumatic is probably your only source of supply and make sure that you get them to send you the mod sheet.

Personally, I wouldn’t do it. It is a Midea-built Chinese dishwasher. Before you know it it’ll be E4’ing at you (leaks), then the circulation pump will pack up. Complete and utter tat.

Re: Indesit WI 121 pcb on WI 101 will it work

It probably will – whether or not the pcb will accept the reduced top speed of the motor is the only issue I can see – the buttons are all the same.

Where have you been hiding, Clyde? Nice to see you back.
