Element is in the up tube to the top rotors. Remove plastic cover at the bottpm to reveal terminals.

    Power off first.

Nothing at all listed for these old girls now, sorry. There have been a few broken up and shared out over the years – put 4638 into Search to review.

Re: Indesit D4200 WG – not draining

They weren’t too bad back then….

    Possibilities:

1/ Given the time of year, frozen. (Machine now works..)
2/ Old, tired drain pump. Entirely possible, the machine is older than you think. Generic Askoll type motor unit will go straight on at little expense.
3/ Foreign body now passed through.
4/ Dodgy wiring at door pivot point – door outer off to check.
5/ Timer – unlikely; they work or they don’t, there is n’t usually a half way position.

Don’t go mad with it – an awful lot of the parts are going obsolete.

481246068532 is the actual part number – Masterpart list it at £9.50.

Part numbers are always better than b@ggering about with spurious stock codes.

Possibly the best threadstopper on UKW that doesn’t involve the Mods locking the topic I’ve seen to date….

Flood protection activated – water has leaked into the tray under the machine.

Power off, towels down and tip the machine to a good angle to drain the tray.

If you get a repetition, find the leak.

    Re: SMEG DI612 PUMP FAULT

Float switch is a diect mains feed, the pump is otherwise switched by the pcb, so it’s probably not OK.
